Credit: Courtesy of CHANEL.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cTo think, in terms of telling a story in 60 seconds, it doesn&#8217;t matter how long you&#8217;ve been making pictures, this is a real workout\u201d says legendary director <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/margot-robbie-time-most-influential-people-2017-martin-scorsese\/\">Martin Scorsese<\/a> smiling. \u201cIt&#8217;s probably even the most difficult thing to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The acclaimed <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/killers-of-the-flower-moon-premiere\/\"><em>Killers Of The Flower Moon<\/em><\/a> director first lent his inimitable lens to the house of <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/chanel-spring-summer-2024-show\/\">CHANEL<\/a> for its high octane <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/fathers-day-gift-guide-2023\/\">BLEU DE CHANEL<\/a> campaign starring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=oG-nnDlnWrA\" target=\"_blank\">French actor Gaspard Ulliel in 2010<\/a>. Thirteen years later, the 80-year-old filmmaker has returned to do it again, this time starring <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/kylie-jenner-timothee-chalamet-relationship-timeline\/\">Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet<\/a> in a cinematic exploration of the delicate dance between an actor\u2019s scripted version of his life, and the multi-faceted man he truly is.<\/p>\n<p>This study of fame\u2014and a call to embrace one\u2019s true essence and forge one\u2019s own path\u2014is not dissimilar from Scorsese\u2019s 2010 narrative. But as the American director notes, the fame landscape looks completely different now. That is to say there is a gulf between the celebrity experiences between Ulliel and Chalamet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe world has changed. There\u2019s another aspect to celebrity in a way. Which is even more extreme than 10 or 15 years ago,\u201d says Scorsese.<\/p>\n<p>While Scorsese took three-and-a-half hours to tell the story of the Osage citizens in <em>Killers Of The Flower Moon<\/em>, he had all but 60 seconds to tell this one. Shot in black and white to resemble the reels of content we see of actors as celebrities, flashes of blue symbolise Chalamet\u2019s character finding elements of his true self in his daily happenings.
