Don’t get it twisted: nothing<\/span> will come between Cardi B and her love of Herm\u00e8s leather goods<\/a>. Particularly, the perenially enviable Birkin bag.<\/p>\n

After revealing that her trip to the Fall\/Winter 2023\/2024 season of Haute Couture Week<\/a> was in part to pick up a rare Herm\u00e8s bag<\/a> that wasn’t available in the United States, it was clear that the rapper doesn’t fool around when it comes to collecting the coveted accessory.<\/p>\n

But, after what is quite possibly the most grandiose birthday gift in the history of exchanging presents, we’re petitioning for the mother-of-two to officially announce that the ‘B’ in her name stands for Birkin. Even when she’s not spending a dime, she’s still making money moves.<\/a><\/p>\n

Let us explain.<\/p>\n

Overnight, Cardi B celebrated her 31st birthday at Delilah’s nightclub in Los Angeles. Leftover cake wasn’t the only thing the star walked home with though, with her husband, Offset, gifting her half a million dollars worth of Herm\u00e8s bags for the occasion.<\/a><\/p>\n

In pictures, which you can see here<\/a>, Offset was pictured carrying three large classic orange Herm\u00e8s boxes as casually as he would take away from the restaurant, with a gleaming Cardi B holding his other hand.<\/p>\n

We might have missed the memo that we’re now treating the age ’31’ as another milestone year worthy of receiving this ostentatious display of generosity, but thankfully for us, Offset took to his Instagram stories to document Cardi B’s unboxing.<\/p>\n

To the tune of Madonna’s “Vogue”, Cardi B unwrapped her first gift of the evening, moving away the wrapping and certificate of authenticity to reveal an Herm\u00e8s Rose Scheherazade Hot Pink Crocodile Birkin 30 inside. As expected, Cardi B squealed in delight as she mouthed “I love you” to her husband. Cardi B then proceeded to sniff the skin of the bag, presumably in appreciation of the craftsmanship.<\/p>\n

Then, after taking a shot, Cardi B\u00a0unboxed the rare and highly coveted Faubourg Birkin. This piece of art is referred to as the \u201cHouse Birkin\u201d given the design is modelled after Herm\u00e8s\u2019 Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honor\u00e9 boutique in Paris.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy favourite!\u201d Cardi B screamed. \u201cI don\u2019t even think I\u2019m ready to see the other one!”<\/p>\n

Lastly, Cardi\u00a0 delicately unwrapped her final gift of the evening: a gilded crocodile skin Herm\u00e8s Birkin coated with a gold glossy finish.<\/p>\n
