The final chapter of <\/span>The Crown <\/span><\/i>will arrive on our streaming devices before Christmas, Netflix has revealed<\/a>. <\/span>The prized jewel in Netflix\u2019s proverbial tiara of titanic streaming content will conclude with the upcoming sixth and final season. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, the series\u2019 final bow will not be one that goes unnoticed, but rather one that will undoubtedly generate a stellar standing ovation thanks to Netflix\u2019s tactical rollout plan.<\/span><\/p>\n

The release of The Crown<\/em> season six is to be split into two parts. The first four episodes\u2014which will pick up in 1997 following a then Prince Charles\u2019<\/a> divorce from Diana, the late Princess of Wales\u2014will be released on November 16, before the remaining six episodes drop on December 14.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s pertinent timing considering the conclusion of Netflix\u2019s chronicling of Queen Elizabeth II\u2019s life draws to a close less than a year after her death on September 8, 2022. Fans of the show have long wondered how far Netflix executives planned to fictionally follow \u2018The Firm\u2019, with current exacerbated tensions and in-house political foiling<\/a> only garnering more interest for a retrospective review on the royal family. <\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Netflix hasn\u2019t confirmed where they\u2019ll leave <\/span>The Crown<\/span><\/i>, but it seems its future is to be passed back over into the hands of King and Country. Given the splitting of the release, it\u2019s presumed that the first part will conclude with Princess Diana\u2019s tragic death in Paris, while the latter half of the series will follow the aftermath, thrusting a young Prince William and Prince Harry<\/a> into the fold. <\/span><\/p>\n

But, with this being Netflix, we\u2019re sure the show will have a few surprises up its sleeve. Case in point: the date announcement teaser trailer depicting Queen Elizabeth throughout the ages. In the trailer, Claire Foy (Queen Elizabeth II Season 1-2), Olivia Coleman (Season 3-4) and Imelda Staunton (Season 5-6), all wander through the halls of Buckingham Palace, leading toward this season\u2019s ultimate id\u00e9e fixe: what is <\/span>The Crown <\/span><\/i>without Queen Elizabeth? We\u2019ll find out next month\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n
