Since giving birth to her first child, a daughter named Daisy, just over three months ago, Katy Perry has made sure not to lose sight of herself, continuing to perform, speak out about important issues and, of course, wear her signature eye-catching looks – albeit with the addition of Spanx underneath<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After wearing an ultra-chic New Zealand label Georgia Alice gown for her birthday party and then opting for double denim at the AMAs – a refreshing break from the sequin-heavy choices by other attendees<\/a> – Perry\u2019s latest look is another brilliant one, this time by New York-based label, SemSem.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Yesterday, the singer posted three photos of herself wearing SemSem\u2019s belted, draped and pleated lam\u00e9 gown on Instagram with the simple caption, \u201cMother.\u201d In the images, Perry wears her long blonde hair in loose waves and gold eye makeup to match her dress.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Styled by Tatiana Waterford, Perry isn\u2019t the only celeb to endorse SemSem of late. Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Tiffany Haddish and Blake Lively have also all given their tick of approval to the Egyptian-inspired label, which was founded in 2016 by creative director Abeer Al Otaiba. <\/span><\/p>\n

I<\/span>n 2018, SemSem announced Albino Riganello, formerly the head designer at Givenchy, as the new head of design at the brand and since then, it’s been making waves not only in the US, but internationally as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The takeaways? It’s time to invest in some SemSem, and, if Perry\u2019s post-baby fashion wardrobe so far is anything to go by, it’s time to bump her up the list of stylish celebs whose outfits we’d very much like to covet. <\/span><\/p>\n
