Within the hierarchy of the celebrity style set, Hailey Bieber\u2019s influence over dictating trends<\/a> is insurmountable. However, for her latest outing, it seems that Bieber has eschewed leading the trend cycle in favor of following it, with the 26-year-old adhering to the viral \u2018coquette\u2019 aesthetic for her first day of Paris Fashion Week.<\/a><\/p>\n

Descending on the French capital\u2014which one can assume means we\u2019ll see Bieber sitting in the front row at Saint Laurent\u2019s<\/a> upcoming Spring\/Summer 2024 collection\u2014the model departed from her signature all-American, sensual-meets-sportif street style<\/a> in favor of netizen\u2019s perennial favorite French-inspired feminine trend.<\/p>\n

For the occasion, Bieber donned a fresh-from-the-runway pastel pink mini dress from Tory Burch\u2019s recent SS24 collection<\/a>\u2014we wonder if the retrofuturistic silhouette<\/a> took the concord straight after Burch\u2019s New York show to arrive in time.<\/p>\n

The sculpted, body-conscious look featured protruding 3D rings that created a more technical and Pierre Cardin-inspired finish to the hemline. Yet, with the dress comprised of a soft ruched fabric and gathered off-the-shoulder neckline, it bears the hallmarks of the sultry (albeit slightly infantilised) aesthetic.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not merely the dress that marks Bieber\u2019s changing allegiance from \u2018clean girl\u2019<\/a> to \u2018coquette\u2019, but rather the way she styled the new season look. Unlike the raver sunglasses seen on Burch\u2019s runway, Bieber took cues from the streets of Paris.<\/p>\n

Well, rather the streets of an 18th Century Paris with the supermodel completing her ensemble with a pair of The Row\u2019s Mary Jane style ballet flats<\/a> and a velvet bow barrette from New York accessories label Jennifer Behr.<\/p>\n

With the aesthetic emerging from TikTok\u2014the hashtag #coquette currently boasts 12 billion views\u2014it\u2019s only natural that Bieber returned to the platform to document her look in full. Though, Bieber\u2019s style du jour<\/i> could also have something to do with promoting her new line of color cosmetics courtesy of her brand Rhode Beauty.<\/a><\/p>\n

The skincare founder has launched into a new category with four shades of her best-selling Peptide Lip Treatment, including a buttery pink shade she\u2019s dubbed \u2018ribbon\u2019.<\/p>\n

With the star applying the sheer bubblegum shade in her TikTok, were to believe that her newfound adoration for the coquette aesthetic could have something to do with marketing and sales for Rhode, rather than an exploration of French sensibilities.<\/p>\n

Either way, we know Bieber\u2019s sartorial partisans will be coveting this look just as much as her trademark style.
