As it was reported at the time of her denature, the Uruguayan designer<a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/me\/articles\/gabriela-hearst-leaves-chloe\/\"> reportedly stepped away from her three-year tenure<\/a> to focus on her own eponymous label.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Naturally, the mystique around the circumstance of her departure piqued our interest in what she\u2019d present on the runways at New York Fashion Week come September. But with that moment finally arriving and passing, it\u2019s clear from Hearst\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/fashion-week-2023\/\">Spring\/Summer 2024 collection<\/a> that the designer is keeping her plantable cards close to her chest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">With Hearst one of the leading figures in the realm of sustainable luxury\u2014a trait courtesy of her unwavering commitment to craft-led design and purposeful creation\u2014this collection felt like an ode to the fabrics themselves, rather than an extension of her signature kaleidoscopic weaving.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 1080px\" class=\"wp-video\"><video muted=\"1\" class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-80477-1\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1920\" poster=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Gabriela-Hearst-SS24-2.jpg\" autoplay=\"1\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Gabriela-Hearst_Article.mp4?_=1\" \/><\/video><\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\">Hearst\u2019s modest yet meaningful vocabulary came to the forefront in nifty tailoring, delicate interlacing and decisive embroidery. Sticking to a predominately black and white color palette\u2014save for a metallic scoop neck dress or colorful vertical-stripe kaftan\u2014Hearst&#8217;s resolve is that clothing should embraces the nexus of their intention.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Each piece is carefully manufactured with nimbleness so that they\u2019re underpinned by a sense of humanity. Silhouettes reflect the sense of tradition and heritage that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gabrielahearst.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hearst has come to be internationally lauded for.<\/a> Tailored blazers and trenches are softened through sheer, softly pleated trousers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Shirting finds new forms in shiny leather or soft cotton, inviting a dialogue between where outerwear ends and the layers underneath begin. That\u2019s not to say the discipline of design wasn\u2019t pushed beyond its conventional form, but that the elements of craftsmanship became the priority.
