After news emerged that Kourtney Kardashian had been rushed to hospital in Los Angeles,<\/a> the Lemme<\/i> founder has taken to social media to share an update on her current condition.<\/p>\n

It was reported earlier in the week that The Kardashians <\/i>reality star had been temporarily hospitalised, with her Blink-182 drummer husband, Travis Barker,<\/a> cancelling a string of the band\u2019s European shows to rush home due to the \u201curgent family matter\u201d.<\/p>\n

Now, Kardashian has candidly opened up about the ordeal, explaining that she underwent \u201curgent fetal surgery\u201d. A procedure she claims saved her baby boy\u2019s life.<\/a><\/p>\n

The post featured a black-and-white photo of Kardashian in a hospital bed. Taken from Baker\u2019s point of view, Kardashian and Barker can be seen holding hands, with the soon-to-be mother of four injected with a cannula.<\/p>\n

In her accompanying caption, the 44-year-old shared messages of gratitude to the doctors, hospital staff, her husband and her mother for ensuring the life of her unborn son.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u00a0will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby\u2019s life,\u201d Kardashian wrote in her post. \u201cI\u00a0am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock,\u201d she continued.\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cAnd to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this,\u201d she added in reference to the Kardashian-Jenner\u2019s matriarch, Kris Jenner.<\/p>\n

Kardashian also included details of the surgery in her post, lamenting that the uncertainty towards her baby\u2019s future has made her empathise with other women who have suffered difficult pregnancies or miscarriages.<\/a><\/p>\n

Her caption read: \u201cAs someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn\u2019t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don\u2019t think anyone who hasn\u2019t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kardashian references her previous pregnancies with her three children, Mason, 12, Penelope, 9 and Reign, 7, whom she shares with Scott Disick.<\/p>\n

Though those gestations were well documented on Keeping Up With The Kardashians<\/i>, it\u2019s not clear whether the Kardashian-Baker household will allow cameras into their newborn’s life, especially given this recent scare.<\/p>\n

Kardashian concluded her post by confirming she was still carrying her son. \u201cWalking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing. \ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffc\ud83e\udd0d<\/span>,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not clear how far along Kardashian is in her pregnancy. The star proclaimed the news at a Blink 182 show in Los Angeles, serving as the template for all future \u2018rockstar girlfriend\u2019 announcements.<\/p>\n

Paying homage to the award-winning music video for the band\u2019s late 90s single \u201cAll The Small Things\u201d, Kardashian held up a sign reading \u2018Travis I\u2019m Pregnant\u2019, serving as a full circle moment in Blink-182 lore.<\/p>\n

The pair announced the sex of their baby with a \u2018little drummer boy\u2019 themed gender reveal<\/a> in late June.<\/p>\n

From Kardashian\u2019s social media activity, it\u2019s clear she\u2019s spent her pregnancy relaxing and taking it slow on tropical vacations and seaside holidays. Here\u2019s hoping she continues this restful energy throughout her remaining months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
