The conspiracies surrounding the relationship status of Sydney Sweeney and her Anyone But You<\/em> co-star Glen Powell were convincing to say the least. But Sweeney, 25, is engaged to 38-year-old restaurateur Jonathan Davin<\/a>o says she hasn\u2019t let the rumor mill get to her or Powell, 34.<\/p>\n

\u201cGlen and I don\u2019t really care,\u201d she told Variety<\/em><\/a>. \u201cWe have so much fun together, and we respect each other so much; he\u2019s such a hard worker, and I\u2019m a hard worker.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe talk all the time, like, \u2018That\u2019s really funny,\u2019\u201d she added of how both she and Powell reacted to the nonsense headlines. But, the vibe between the pair was undeniable.<\/p>\n

Anyone But You <\/em>director Will Gluck told the publication that the Euphoria<\/em> star<\/a> Sweeney was able to compartmentalize the dating rumors, and, ever professional, get the job done.<\/p>\n

\u201cSydney is brilliant at a lot of things, including how to deal with social media,\u201d Gluck told\u00a0Variety<\/em>. \u201cShe didn\u2019t emotionally internalize it. It was crazy, but after a while it became normal.\u201d<\/p>\n

The speculation reached peak hysteria in March when Sweeney and Powell were filming chemistry-reliant movie scenes in Sydney, Australia, namely the kissing scene on the steps of the Sydney Opera House. The following month Powell ended his three-year relationship with 30-year-old model Gigi Paris. The latter unfollowed her former partner and Sweeney on Instagram.<\/a><\/p>\n

So, when your job involves kissing a colleague, how close is too close when the cameras aren’t
