Blink and you\u2019ll miss her. Stepping out in New York to enjoy the mild beginning of the wet, hot, American summer, Jennifer Lawrence<\/a> took beauty cues from her filmography for her under-the-radar actress-off-duty look. <\/span><\/p>\n

O<\/span>f course, we don’t blame her for keeping her city outfits low-key, considering Lawrence just delivered a magnum opus-worthy display in couture Christian Dior and flip-flops<\/a> at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival<\/a>. Especially considering the 32-year-old is gearing up for the press tour of her raunchy, coming-of-age comedy, <\/span>No Hard Feelings. <\/span><\/i><\/a><\/p>\n

For her outing, Lawrence deviated from her signature street style wardrobe, which usually comprises of pieces from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen\u2019s quiet luxury label The Row<\/a> and channeling a modern-day Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy<\/a>, opting for something straight out of Bella Hadid\u2019s handbook. <\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

For the occasion, the mother-of-one donned a pair of khaki-colored slouchy utilitarian cargo<\/a> pants from locally lauded Australian label, Matteau. <\/span>The relaxed, mid-rise chino \u2014 which you can shop for yourself here<\/a> \u2014 was paired with a simple scoop-neck black tank top. <\/span><\/p>\n

Keeping within her usual arsenal of accessories, Lawrence completed the incognito summer ensemble with an oval-frame pair of Ala\u00efa<\/a> sunglasses, The Row leather belt and the perennial shoe of the season, a pair of black Adidas Sambas<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, the pi\u00e8ce de r\u00e9sistance of Lawrence\u2019s understated outfit didn\u2019t come in the form of her nonchalant silhouette, but rather her demure beauty notes, including her softly plated French braids that framed her face. <\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s clear Lawrence is going back to her roots with this hairstyle resembling the classic singular braid she sported for her role as Katniss Everdeen in <\/span>The Hunger Games. <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

With this performance<\/a> catapulting Lawrence to superstar status, it\u2019s only fitting that this slight homage comes at the most unexpected time. <\/span><\/p>\n
