According to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.etonline.com\/taylor-swift-and-matty-healy-split-after-brief-romance-heres-why-205842\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a>, an insider claimed that incompatibility and scheduling conflicts were to blame for the breakup. \u201cTaylor and Matty broke up,\u201d the source revealed. \u201cThey are both extremely busy and realized they\u2019re not really compatible with each other. Taylor\u2019s friends want what\u2019s best for her and aren\u2019t shocked that their relationship fizzled out since she recently got out of a long-term relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/taylor-swift-matty-healy-break-up-split-7508332\" target=\"_blank\"><em>People<\/em><\/a>\u00a0confirmed the news with a statement from a source: \u201cShe had fun with him, but it was always casual. They are no longer romantically involved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The news comes just weeks after Swift opened up about her emotional state to the crowd during her concert in Massachusetts. \u201cI\u2019ve just never been this happy in my life, in all aspects of my, life ever,&#8221; she told the crowd. &#8220;And I just want to thank you for being a part of that. It\u2019s not just the tour. I just sort of feel like my life finally feels like it makes sense.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Swifties were hardly thrilled about Swift\u2019s romance with Healy. First, the pop-rock performer appeared to do a Nazi salute onstage in January \u2014 The 1975 fans argued the motion was satire. Then, Healy appeared on Adam Friedland\u2019s podcast in February, making misogynistic and racist comments and specifically called out rapper\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/ice-spice-eras-tour\/\">Ice Spice<\/a>\u2018s ethnicity and racial identity. By mid-month, the pair were seen kissing at Casa Cipriani in New York City. The pair had maintained a close friendship since 2014. An inside source told the publication, \u201cIt\u2019s super-early days, but it feels right.
