Cara Delevingne<\/a> was (almost) unrecognizable as she roamed the streets of New York City over the weekend. Usually spotted in jeans, sneakers and sweatshirts, the actress and model put on a chic display in an ostentatious look as part of a new television role.<\/p>\n

Working on the upcoming 12th season of FX’s American Horror Story franchise<\/a>, American Horror Story: Delicate<\/em>, the model wore an eye-catching black-and-red ensemble, as well as a dark brunette wig with short bangs.<\/p>\n

Made up of a black mini dress with a lace high-neck insert and matching cape, the outfit was a little more gothic than her regular personal style. Accessories included red leather gloves, matching oversized sunglasses, platform boots and a patent leather handbag that added an Upper West Side flair.<\/p>\n

She was later seen with her natural “bronde”<\/a> locks in leather leggings, a crisp white button-down shirt and red UGG boots.<\/p>\n

Starring alongside Kim Kardashian<\/a> and AHS veteran Emma Roberts<\/a>, this will be the 30-year-old’s first role in the franchise. She has previously starred in films and series, including\u00a0Suicide Squad<\/em>, Only Murders in the Building<\/em><\/a>\u00a0and Carnival Row<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Unlike previous seasons, which have all been original stories based on various themes and characters, this season, entitled American Horror Story: Delicate<\/em>, is partly based on Danielle Valentine\u2019s novel Delicate Condition<\/em>.<\/a><\/p>\n

The novel, which will only be released in August, is described as a \u201cgripping thriller about a woman who becomes convinced that a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens.\u201d It\u2019s also been described as \u201cthe feminist update to Rosemary\u2019s Baby<\/em> we all needed,\u201d per a review by author Andrea
