Things are over between Taylor Swift<\/a>\u00a0and the lead singer of the English pop rock band, The 1975,\u00a0Matt Healy.<\/a>\u00a0 TMZ<\/em><\/a> reported on Monday that the pair have broken up after about a month of dating.<\/p>\n

According to Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a>, an insider claimed that incompatibility and scheduling conflicts were to blame for the breakup. “Taylor and Matty broke up,” the source revealed. “They are both extremely busy and realized they’re not really compatible with each other. Taylor’s friends want what’s best for her and aren’t shocked that their relationship fizzled out since she recently got out of a long-term relationship.”<\/p>\n

People<\/em><\/a> confirmed the news with a statement from a source: “She had fun with him, but it was always casual. They are no longer romantically involved.”<\/p>\n

Swifties were hardly thrilled about Swift’s romance with Healy. First, the pop-rock performer appeared to do a Nazi salute onstage in January \u2014 The 1975 fans argued the motion was satire. Then, Healy appeared on Adam Friedland’s podcast in February, making misogynistic and racist comments and specifically called out rapper Ice Spice<\/a>‘s ethnicity and racial identity. The episode was considered offensive enough to have been removed from Apple and Spotify.<\/p>\n

When Swift announced her collaboration with the “Princess Diana” rapper<\/a> on the song “Karma,” many considered it to be a calculated PR move to make up for or distract from Healy’s words.<\/p>\n

Swift’s fans launched a #SpeakUpNow campaign to encourage the pop star to address Healy’s comments. According to Page Six<\/em><\/a>,<\/em> the statement asked for him to, \u201cuse your platform responsibly and intentionally. Advocate for inclusivity, celebrate diversity and promote empathy and understanding.\u201d<\/p>\n

Later, Healy apologized to Ice Spice but dismissed the backlash in an interview with The New Yorker<\/a><\/em>. “Nobody is sitting there at night slumped at their computer, and their boyfriend comes over and goes, \u2018What\u2019s wrong, darling?\u2019 and they go, \u2018It\u2019s just this thing with Matty Healy,\u2019\u201d the musician said. \u201cThat doesn\u2019t happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Romance rumors began saturating headlines and newsfeeds in early May. By mid-month, the pair were seen kissing at Casa Cipriani in New York City. An\u00a0eyewitness told\u00a0Page Six<\/em><\/a>, \u201cthey sat next to each other at a banquette in the lounge.\u201d According to the source,\u00a0Swift<\/a> and Healy were \u201ccuddling and kissing.” They\u00a0were joined by close friend and producer to the stars, Jack Antonoff<\/a>, who is said to have set them up, according to an anonymous source on Instagram gossip account Deux Moi<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The pair were later photographed<\/a> coming out of New York’s Electric Lady recording studio.<\/p>\n

To add to the speculation, Healy attended\u00a0a Taylor Swift concert<\/a>\u00a0with some of her closest friends, including models Gigi Hadid<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Lily Aldridge<\/a>. Granted, he had good reason for being there: he performed with\u00a0Phoebe Bridgers<\/a>\u00a0during the show.\u00a0But then\u00a0<\/em>Swift and Healy\u00a0were photographed arriving<\/a> back at her Nashville house on 12:30 a.m. that Sunday.<\/p>\n

The sighting came after a video of Swift and Healy saying the same \u201cThis one is about you. You know who you are. I love you,\u201d line on stage during their concerts this week went viral. Healy was in the audience when Swift said hers. In another clip from January, Healy said he wouldn\u2019t kiss anyone on stage because \u201cTaylor Swift was in the audience.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0The Sun<\/em><\/a>, the\u00a0Midnights<\/em> artist was said to be \u201cmadly in love\u201d with Healy. The pair had maintained a close friendship since 2014. An inside source told the publication, \u201cIt\u2019s super-early days, but it feels right. They first dated, very briefly, almost 10 years ago but timings just didn\u2019t work out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Back in 2015, Healy denied romance rumors with\u00a0Swift<\/a>\u00a0but confirmed they would text each other frequently. \u201cYeah, we met each other, we exchanged numbers in the same way that a lot of people in this kind of world do and we spoke occasionally,\u201d he said on Australian radio.<\/p>\n

As if we didn’t have enough problematic commentary from this man, he told Q magazine<\/em><\/a> in 2016, \u201cIf I had gone out with Taylor Swift I would’ve been, \u2018F***ing hell! I am NOT being Taylor Swift’s boyfriend.\u201d He said,\u201cYou know, \u2018F***. THAT.\u2019 That’s also a man thing, a de-masculinating, emasculating thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

In April,\u00a0Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a> reported Swift and her\u00a0boyfriend of six years, Joe Alwyn<\/a>\u00a0called it quits<\/a> in March, in what was allegedly an amicable split<\/a>. According to a source, the relationship \u201chad just run its course,\u201d and was \u201cnot dramatic.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans began noticing that Alwyn wasn’t around on Swift’s world tour<\/a>. Looking for clues, fans believed Swift dropped a hint about the breakup at her March 31 concert. Swift performed in Arlington, Texas and replaced the romantic song \u201cInvisible String\u201d with the breakup song, \u201cThe 1.\u201d It includes the lyrics, \u201cBut we were something don\u2019t you think so?\u201d and \u201cIf my wishes came true, it would have been you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Alwyn,\u00a0who Swift\u2019s friends unfollowed on Instagram<\/a> hinting that the British actor may have done Swift dirty, was reportedly upset by the Healy developments<\/a>. A source told the Daily Mail<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>\u201cJoe feels slighted and is distraught after seeing her budding relationship with Matt, but is doing his best to keep busy and focus on himself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJoe was aware that Taylor and Matt were making music together and collaborating,\u201d they continued. \u201cShe told him that they had become friends and he trusted her.\u201d However, the insider denied there was any romantic \u201coverlap\u201d between Healy and Alwyn in Swift\u2019s life.<\/p>\n

Hot off the heels of her rebound, it looks like Swift is ready for a single-girl
