As a beauty mogul, Selena Gomez<\/a> is in the rare position of having one of the most sought-after makeup brands in the world, yet never feels like she has to compromise on her own tried-and-tested makeup uniform for the sake of promoting her label. <\/span><\/p>\n

After appearing at Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s (or should we say Blue Ivy\u2019s<\/a>) epic Renaissance Tour show in Paris, the star has been spotted meandering the streets of the French capital in a look that forgoes the typical \u201creference the city you\u2019re in\u201d approach to holiday wear<\/a> (and holiday makeup). <\/span><\/p>\n

Indeed, the Parisian chic beauty tropes<\/a> pandered by adherents of the French girl aesthetic may have you believe that a trip to the capital requires two things: a bold red lip and a sort of shaggy curtain bang. <\/span><\/p>\n

This may be the case for many \u2014 although GRAZIA<\/em> editors are known to also forgo this rule in favor of their own Parisian testaments<\/a>: a trip to L’Entrec\u00f4te and a visit to our favorite top-secret luxury consignment stores. <\/span><\/p>\n

However, for Gomez, the star opted for a more demure \u2014 and therefore more impactful \u2014 take on the timeless French style. For the occasion, Gomez donned a monochromatic knitted black ensemble that included a melange of both French and American designers. <\/span><\/p>\n

Stepping out at her hotel, Gomez was pictured wearing a sleeveless turtleneck from The Row<\/a>, a pair of high-waisted yet slightly slouchy Aritiza pants, Proenza Schouler strappy heels and Prada\u2019s Symbole sunglasses. <\/span><\/p>\n

Yet, when it came to her signature beauty look, see: a bright lip and cat eyeliner, Gomez kept things minimal, opting for rather a your-skin-but-better complexion and the beauty status symbol du jour: a stretchy black headband. <\/a><\/span><\/p>\n
