\nOn the C\u00f4te d\u2019Azur, at a lavish chateau in Cannes<\/a>, Dua Lipa<\/a> and Donatella Versace<\/a> debuted their shared vision with “La Vacanza,”<\/a>\u00a0a special collection co-designed by the two fashion trailblazers.<\/p>\n

Spanning 40 looks, the collection featured signature touches from both Lipa and Donatella, including slinky chainmail, butterfly motifs, ultra mini hemlines and sensual cutouts.<\/p>\n

“Feeling overwhelmed with happiness and still taking in last night!,” Lipa shared on Instagram the following morning. “Creating this collection with my dear dear friend @donatella_versace has been the most incredible insightful, and inspiring process that I feel so lucky I got to experience. I want to thank the whole @versace team for holding my hand through this!!”<\/p>\n

Donatella Versace<\/a>, who has helmed the brand since her brother Gianni Versace<\/a>\u2018s assassination in 1997, also shared her excitement.<\/p>\n

“@dualipa, we did it! You are now both Versace supermodel AND Versace superdesigner,” she wrote. “We designed this collection with true friendship, love and joy at the heart of every piece we put on show tonight. Your passion and vision have inspired me throughout this creative journey. I love you more than you can imagine. Donatella x.”<\/p>\n

After taking a minute to process it all, the British singer shared ample BTS coverage from the collaboration. In a “making of”-style clip<\/a>, we see Donatella and Lipa coming together in Los Angeles to design together, before heading to Milan to work on the garment development.<\/p>\n

And now, we see a glimpse at what it took to bring the runway itself together.<\/p>\n

Between sweet footage of the co-designers admiring their work, to Lipa getting her own look together \u2014 a strappy black bodycon dress with gold logo hardware, to be specific \u2014 we see the journey behind the project.<\/p>\n
