Just when you thought Queen Bey was busy enough, breaking the record for most Grammy wins<\/a> and embarking on her Renaissance<\/em> World Tour<\/a>, Beyonc\u00e9<\/a> teased that she’s working on something in the haircare space.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the songstress shared an Instagram carousel<\/a> with three images revealing the new project. First, Beyonc\u00e9<\/a> is photographed sitting at her vanity, curling her hair. Eagle-eyed fans directly spotted the rows of numerous generic sampling bottles in front of her mirror, lined up with unidentifiable creams, sprays and more labeled with white stickers too faint to read.<\/p>\n

The next photo featured a photo of Beyonc\u00e9<\/a> as a kid getting her hair braided at her mother\u2019s hair salon, circa 1990. The comments section quickly blew up with fans expressing shock that the child pictured wasn\u2019t Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s eldest daughter, Blue Ivy Carter<\/a>. Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s mom, Tina Knowles-Lawson posted the throwback photo<\/a> back in 2017 with the caption, \u201cIf Beyonce don’t look like Blue on this photo!!! Getting her braids done by Toni\u2764\ufe0f.\u201d<\/p>\n

The final slide featured a hand-written note from Beyonc\u00e9 on a gray background. \u201cHow many of ya\u2019ll knew my first job was sweeping hair in my mama\u2019s salon? Destiny\u2019s Child<\/a> got our start by performing for clients while they were getting their hair done,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was exposed to so many different kinds of entrepreneurial women in her salon. I saw firsthand how the ways we nurture and celebrate hair can directly impact our souls. I watched her heal and be of service to so many women. Having learned so much on my hair journey, I\u2019ve always dreamed of carrying on her legacy.\u201d The singer continued, \u201cI can\u2019t wait for you to experience what I\u2019ve been creating.” She signed off with a heart and the letter B.<\/p>\n

Knowles-Lawson, who famously made the costumes for Destiny\u2019s Child, opened her successful hair salon Headliners in Houston, Texas in 1990 before opening her second location in 2000.<\/p>\n

Destiny\u2019s Child member Kelly Rowland<\/a> talked about the impact Headliners salon had on her upbringing in a\u00a02019 interview<\/a> saying, \u201cI grew up with Beyonce\u0301, her sister Solange<\/a>, her mother Tina and her eldest cousin Angie. It was a real sisterhood. I remember the first time I went to Tina\u2019s salon in Houston, Texas, and seeing a strong, Black woman with her own business.\u201d<\/p>\n
