Jennifer Lopez<\/a> and Ben Affleck<\/a> may still be in their honeymoon period, but netizens have been theorizing that there may be some trouble in paradise lately.<\/p>\n

Attending the L.A. premiere of Lopez’s movie <\/a>The Mother,\u00a0<\/em>on Wednesday, the couple<\/a> were caught seeming to share a heated exchange while greeting fans and posing for the cameras. Affleck, who has made it known<\/a> that he does not enjoy public events, looked disgruntled in the footage as he gestured dramatically with his hands.<\/p>\n

But as lipreaders have shared, the newlyweds<\/a> were likely just debating how best to move along the carpet.<\/p>\n

An expert lip reader told FEMAIL<\/em><\/a> that the tense-looking conversation was merely Lopez asking Affleck whether her low-cut top was “showing too much,” prompting him to respond that it was all fine.<\/p>\n

Affleck then appeared to lean into his wife’s ear and say, “don’t worry, babe,” before saying “that’s us done.” The two later seemed to kiss and make up, posing sweetly together for cameras.<\/p>\n

The Argo<\/em> director went on to clarify the situation after fans raised concerns, telling the Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a> that he was just joking with his wife.<\/p>\n

He said that when he realized the camera crew was “framing” them in the shot, he told Lopez, “As soon they start rolling, I’ll slide away from you and leave you sitting next to Trevor.”<\/p>\n

To which she responded, “You better f-king not leave,” he added. “That\u2019s a husband-and-wife thing. I mean, some of it is.”<\/p>\n

The following day, though, a viral video made the rounds on TikTok<\/a> of the actor “slamming” his wife’s car door, leading viewers to believe they were in an argument.<\/p>\n

The tense interaction follows another highly publicized incident earlier this year in which the couple seemed cross with each other while at the Grammys<\/a>, with Lopez telling Affleck to liven up.<\/p>\n

“Look more friendly. Look motivated,” she was reported to say, as Affleck replied, “I might.”<\/p>\n

Speaking after the event, Affleck said that despite his sour exterior, he had actually enjoyed himself at the Grammys, telling Jimmy Kimmel that his glum expression comes down to genetics.<\/p>\n
