We don\u2019t typically like to speculate on the status of relationships that we\u2019re not a part of, but it seems that the friendship between Selena Gomez<\/a> and actress Francia Raisa is possibly heading into frenemies territory, with Raisa\u2019s father condemning Gomez for drinking after his daughter donated one of her kidney to the Only Murders in the Building<\/em> star.<\/a><\/p>\n

In 2017, the How I Met Your Father<\/em> alum donated a kidney to Gomez, her best friend at the time, after doctors told her it was the only way to save her life after suffering complications from the auto-immune disease Lupus.<\/p>\n

Fast forward a few years later, Selenators \u2014 Gomez\u2019s fanbase \u2014 noticed that Raisa had pretty much disappeared from the 30-year-old\u2019s life.<\/p>\n

Making matters worse, Raisa was absent from all of Gomez\u2019s recent major milestones, including her 30th birthday party, My Mind and Me<\/a><\/em> documentary<\/a> and the beachside New Year\u2019s soir\u00e9e<\/a> she spent with Nicola and Brooklyn Peltz Beckham.<\/p>\n

Now, Raisa\u2019s father has weighed in on the speculation about the respective actresses and the reported demise of their friendship, shedding some firm words in the process.<\/p>\n

According to reports, Raisa confronted Gomez after she noticed the “Lose You To Love Me” singer didn\u2019t abstain from drinking after the kidney transplant.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a difference when Selena is drinking,\u201d Raisa\u2019s father, Ren\u00e1n Almend\u00e1rez Coello, reportedly shared.<\/a> \u201cFrancia told Selena that she didn\u2019t give her the kidney so she could go out and drink,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Further tension between the pair allegedly transpired when Gomez called Taylor Swift<\/a> her only friend in the industry. Raisa currently doesn\u2019t follow Gomez on Instagram, and neither party have addressed their reported feud.<\/p>\n

It seems the moral of this story can be found in Gomez\u2019s song: the heart wants what it
