To promote her new romantic-comedy Love Again<\/em><\/a>, Priyanka Chopra<\/a> is on the sartorial press tour of her life, taking the streets and red carpets of New York by storm with a series of jaw-dropping ensembles. Case in point: the Bulgari<\/a> ambassador\u2019s denim couture Nina Ricci number<\/a> and sensually ruched Christopher Esber dress.<\/p>\n

Now, Chopra is paying homage to another romcom with her style choices, opting for an A-line white halter neck dress that is seemingly taken out of Marilyn Monroe\u2019<\/a>s iconic New York-set cult classic, The Seven Year Itch.<\/em><\/p>\n

Arriving at The View<\/em> studios in Lincoln Square, the actress seemingly recreated a scene out of the 1955 film by stepping over a sewer grate in her patent leather pumps.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not exactly as iconic as the shot of Monroe\u2019s dress flying above her head while standing on a subway grates, but this innocuous homage to the source material is something only a dramaturge is capable of. <\/span><\/p>\n

For the occasion, the 40-year-old opted for a conservative variation of Monroe\u2019s iconic pleated look. The ankle-grazing dress featured a plunging neckline and experimental twisted back detail contrasting the open-back design.<\/p>\n

A contemporary variety we\u2019re sure Marilyn would\u2019ve approved of herself. Paralleling Monroe\u2019s own signature bouffant curls, Chopra kept in keeping with the iconic look by opting for soft, blown-out and salon-worthy waves. A brunette bombshell, indeed.<\/p>\n

The star also looked to Australia (again) for her press-tour ensembles by choosing a pair of sunglasses from Sydney-based eyewear label Le Specs.<\/p>\n

The “Serpens Link” style is from the brand\u2019s collaboration with Missoma and features metal hardware adorned with circular pearlescent detailing.<\/p>\n

Given that Monroe\u2019s look in the film is one of the most enduring images of the 20th century \u2014 and one that has saturated the cultural zeitgeist \u2014 Chopra\u2019s modern-day Marilyn tribute is befitting for her New York romantic rendezvous.<\/p>\n
