Kate Middleton<\/a>, the Princess of Wales, has continued her sartorial reign over the coronation weekend<\/a> with another bespoke ensemble from Alexander McQueen\u2019s atelier.<\/p>\n

For the coronation concert, the former Duchess of Cambridge opted for a coronation red suit designed by Sarah Burton. A colorway beloved by Middleton\u2019s predecessor, Princess Diana.<\/a><\/p>\n

The two-piece look features a bias cut single breast blazer with statement shoulders and an asymmetrical finish and matching cigarette trousers boasting a soft subtle pleat.<\/p>\n

The Princess previously wore this look in January to attend a function hosted by the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.<\/p>\n

Always the proponent for sustainable fashion<\/a>, the Princess’s repurposing of this dress looks entirely new with the addition of a cascading six-pendant, mother-of-pearl necklace from Van Cleef & Arpel<\/a>\u2019s coveted Alhambra collection.<\/p>\n

Perhaps her way of nodding to her previous Alexander McQueen<\/a> look, with both ensembles featuring the addition of a four-leaf clover motif, a subtle signal to Ireland.<\/p>\n

For the performance, Middleton was joined by her husband, William, Prince of Wales, and two of their three children<\/a>, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, for the performance. Prince Louis did not attend.<\/p>\n

King Charles III\u2019s coronation performance was arguably one of the most contentious moments of his coronation weekend. <\/span><\/p>\n

Between the uncertainty regarding the Sussex\u2019s attendance \u2014 Prince Harry<\/a> was present in\u00a0 the third row for the coronation but skipped the performance, while Meghan Markle stayed at home to \u201cprotect her peace\u201d<\/a> \u2014 the head of the Commonwealth was unable to confirm any major musician from the United Kingdom to perform at the biggest function of his life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thankfully, he expanded his search across the pond with Katy Perry and Lionel Richie rounding up the line up. For the occasion, Katy Perry swapped her lilac Vivienne Westwood skirt and corseted jacket set for a bespoke gilded gown that sartorially referenced Westwood\u2019s iconic golden orb.<\/p>\n

Richie\u2019s newlywed daughter, Sofia Richie<\/a>, took style cues from Princess Beatrice\u2019s magenta coronation dress by opting for a fuchsia Destree set.<\/p>\n
