According to Karl Lagerfeld<\/a>, \u201csweatpants are a sign of defeat.\u201d The famed designer famously wrote in his 2013 book The World According to Karl<\/em>, \u201cYou lost control of your life, so you bought some sweatpants.\u201d Now, supermodel Irina Shayk<\/a> is here to call that statement into question.<\/p>\n

After attending the 2023 Met Gala<\/a> commemorating Lagerfeld\u2019s impressive body of work, Shayk<\/a> stepped out in a casual chic look to hit the afterparty circuit<\/a>. She slipped into something a little more comfortable than her red carpet dress in a plain white tank top with gray sweatpants. She also carried along a maroon puffy bomber jacket with an orange lining.<\/p>\n

Adding some glam to her relaxed style moment, Shayk<\/a> kept wearing her custom Ana Khouri<\/a> 65 carat diamond choker that she had on on the red carpet, along with her dazzling ear cuffs. The model slipped into a pair of glittering high-heeled lace-up Timberland boots from the brand\u2019s collaboration with Jimmy Choo.<\/p>\n

Revamping the model-off-duty look,<\/a> Shayk<\/a> also kept her red carpet glam intact. The Russian beauty maintained a luminescent complexion with rose pink eyeshadow and a matching mauve pink lip and kept her brunette tresses styled in glossy waves.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the evening, Shayk<\/a> wore an archival ivory silk Yohji Yamamoto<\/a> gown from the designer\u2019s Spring\/Summer 1998 collection, emblazoned with floral appliqu\u00e9 along the neckline as she arrived to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The look undoubtably paid homage to Chanel<\/a>‘s signature Camellia flower. \u201cI was always a big admirer of mister Yohji and his talent,\u201d the model wrote on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n
