On the eve of the first Monday in May, Kim Kardashian<\/a> embraced the theme of the 2023 Met Gala<\/a> by decking herself out in Chanel<\/a>. Kardashian arrived at a hotel in New York City with her eldest daughter North West<\/a>, niece Penelope Disick and Scott Disick, and made her look one you can’t miss.<\/p>\n

The SKIMS mogul<\/a> wore a tight charcoal gray Chanel crop top with the interlocking “C” logo at the neckline and high-waisted black leather pantaboots<\/a>. The reality television star teamed her look with black shield sunglasses from the Parisian fashion house embellished with a gold chain, black leather Chanel driver gloves and carried a large rectangular quilted patent leather Chanel trunk. Kardashian wore her hair in a low ponytail and kept her makeup minimal for the trip.<\/p>\n

As stylish as her mom, North wore a Chanel black leather button-up top with oversized black ripped jeans, lug soled black boots, a gold chain Chanel belt, Chanel sunglasses and carried her own quilted patent leather square-shaped top-handle handbag.<\/p>\n

Celebrities have been arriving to the Big Apple to get ready for the annual fundraiser and started partying throughout the weekend. Many attended Anna Wintour\u2019s Pre-Met Gala dinner party, including Dua Lipa, Lizzo and Pen\u00e9lope Cruz.<\/p>\n

This year, the upcoming Met Gala exhibition is entitled \u201cKarl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,<\/a>\u201d and the theme celebrates the life and work of\u00a0the revolutionary couturier, who helmed Fendi since 1965 and Chanel since 1983 until his passing in 2019.<\/p>\n

Kardashian posted a video of her hotel room covered in white flower petals and filled with candles on Instagram Stories<\/a> on Sunday night. There were silver blow-up letter balloons that said \u201cKarl Lagerfeld<\/a> Met Gala\u201d and massage beds. Kardashian<\/a> wrote on the post, \u201cHow sweet is North for surprising me tonight with this for us to relax before the Met.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last week, Kardashian shared photos<\/a> from a visit to Lagerfeld<\/a>\u2019s office in Paris, posting selfies<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0the designer\u2019s cat, Choupette<\/a>. In one image, the skincare mogul browsed though photos and sketches of garments hanging on a wall \u2014 perhaps a hint to what she\u2019ll wear on Monday.<\/p>\n
