{"id":75928,"date":"2023-05-01T11:21:49","date_gmt":"2023-05-01T11:21:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/?post_type=articles&#038;p=75928"},"modified":"2023-05-01T11:24:25","modified_gmt":"2023-05-01T11:24:25","slug":"cos-atelier-presents-spring-2023-collection","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/cos-atelier-presents-spring-2023-collection\/","title":{"rendered":"COS Atelier Presents Its Spring 2023 Collection in Paris"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-75980 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/04\/Colleen-Grazia-Featured-Image-Template-15-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Last week, the London-based fashion brand <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/alton-mason-nyfw-cos-show\/\">COS<\/a> unveiled its second <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cos.com\/en_usd\/women\/new-arrivals.html\" target=\"_blank\">Atelier collection<\/a>, and the brand went big with a reveal in the City of Lights.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/iris-apfel-hm-collaboration-launch\/\">H&amp;M<\/a>-owned brand went to the most glamorous city (Paris) at the most glamours location (the H\u00f4tel d\u2019\u00c9vreux on Place Vend\u00f4me) to present the line. Models showed off the new items in the brand\u2019s Atelier collection, which is a slightly pricier and elevated collection from the contemporary minimalistic looks in its main array.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_75976\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-75976\" style=\"width: 1280px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-75976 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/04\/COS-ATELIER_SS23_ESTRELLA-GOMES__LOOK-15.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1920\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-75976\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">COS Ready to wear<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_75973\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-75973\" style=\"width: 1280px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-75973 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/04\/COS-ATELIER_SS23_AMAR-AKWAY_LOOK-14.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1920\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-75973\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">COS Ready to wear<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_75978\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-75978\" style=\"width: 1280px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-75978 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/04\/COS-ATELIER_SS23_RUIQI-JIANG_LOOK-22.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1920\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-75978\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">COS Ready to wear<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The 18<sup>th<\/sup>-century design of the space played up the focus of the Atelier \u2014 which is all about using the finest fabrics and excellent craftmanship. \u201cOccasionwear\u201d is the best term to describe the mix of high-quality techniques with effortless designs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe focus on contemporary fits, with a heightened commitment to the craftsmanship and materiality,\u201d design director Karin Gustafsson tells <em>GRAZIA USA<\/em>. \u201cThroughout the design we have used dressmaking techniques often seen in couture, to create each piece from the inside-out \u2014 it\u2019s that extra attention that gives an elevated feel to the pieces.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The capsule featured a selection of dresses from maxi to mini, plus oversize suiting, and a variety of skirts and tops. Neutrals grounded the collection but there were also bright pops of orange throughout. Gustafsson says this season, the color palette was inspired by nature, and orange represents bursts of summer heat.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_75979\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-75979\" style=\"width: 1280px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-75979 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/04\/COS-ATELIER_SS23_YING-OUYANG_LOOK-20.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1920\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-75979\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">COS Ready to wear<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"attachment_75977\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-75977\" style=\"width: 1280px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-75977 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/04\/COS-ATELIER_SS23_LEANNE-DE-HAAN_LOOK-21.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1920\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-75977\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">COS Ready to wear<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-75971 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/04\/AtelierCampaign_04.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1707\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The beauty of the occasionwear aesthetic is that the clothes lend themselves to multiple events, from the dressed-up to everyday. \u201cYou will find pieces in honest materials such as linen \u2014 we really want it to feel versatile and would hope the wearer feels empowered, wearing garments to special occasion or mixing them in to their day-to-day wardrobe,\u201d says Gustafsson.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-75969 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/04\/AtelierCampaign_02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1707\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-75970 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/04\/AtelierCampaign_03.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1707\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For the designer, one item that was the most exciting to create is the silk dress with a scarf that comes in sand and black colors. \u201cIt has a built-in scarf detail that has beautiful picot edging and can be styles in multiple ways when on,\u201d she shares. \u201cAlongside this, our tailoring can be adjusted from the inside for the perfect fit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-75929 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/15\/2023\/04\/COS-ATELIER_SS23_BEATRICE-GRANNO-AND-DIANE-KRUGER_02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1919\" \/><\/p>\n<p>None other than <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/diane-kruger-balaclava\/\">Diane Kruger<\/a> did an excellent job modeling the\u00a0scarf look as she took a front-row seat at the presentation. Others on-hand included <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/the-white-lotus-simona-tabasco-and-beatrice-granno-model-for-skims\/\"><em>The White Lotus<\/em> <\/a>season 2 star <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/beatrice-granno-pinching-herself-role-white-lotus-season-2\/\">Beatrice Grann\u00f2<\/a>, who wore a similar beige suit.<\/p>\n<p>Now, it\u2019s time for Gustafsson and the team to look to the next collection. \u201cWe are continuing to find innovative ways to design and are constantly looking for new materials to bring into the collections,\u201d says Gustafsson. \u201cLooking ahead, we strive to stay curious and informed about future fashion. We hope to keep delivering collections that excite and feel relevant to our customer each season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cos.com\/en_usd\/women\/new-arrivals.html\"
