After years of having her story told for her through documentaries, damaging press narratives and even her own family members, Britney Spears<\/a> is finally going to share her story in her own words<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Following being released from her conservatorship in November 2021, the pop star is reportedly in the final stages of writing a tell-all memoir, after signing a multimillion-dollar deal with Simon & Schuster in February 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Page Six<\/em><\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Entertainment Tonight<\/span><\/a><\/em> have both reported that the book is almost complete, with sources predicting the “groundbreaking” release will be an instant bestseller.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Britney’s book is brutally honest and from the heart,” a source told Page Six.<\/em> “No stone is left unturned. It’s truly a female empowerment story \u2013 her taking control of her life.”<\/span><\/p>\n

A separate publishing insider told the outlet, “Britney’s book is a story of triumph. It will cover her most vulnerable moments, her childhood \u2013 being a little girl with big dreams \u2013 her breakup with Justin Timberlake, the moment she shaved her head, and her battle with her family over her conservatorship.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“It is also a story of survival, finding her way out of the crippling conservatorship to finding happiness with her husband Sam Asghari<\/a>,” they continued.<\/span><\/p>\n

When Spears was first freed<\/a>, she initially toyed with the idea of doing a sit-down with Oprah, in a similar vein to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s first interview after leaving the royal family. However, she ultimately realised she wanted full control over the narrative after four documentaries came out about the Free Britney movement in the space of two years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Page Six<\/em> noted that for the memoir, Spears tapped ghostwriter Sam Lansky, who has previously profiled several music superstars, including Madonna, Nicki Minaj and Adele.<\/span><\/p>\n

Though no official details have been released, several insiders believe that the memoir will drop before the end of the
