If there are two things Brian Cox is putting on his “out” list for the remainder of 2023, it\u2019s talking about stealth wealth<\/a> and ludicrously capacious bags.<\/a><\/p>\n

Proving that he\u2019s done with his iconic Succession<\/em><\/a> character, Logan Roy, the 76-year-old actor delivered the greatest plot twist of all \u2014 save for that \u201cdramaturgical\u201d season 4 episode \u2014 by deviating from the Upper East Side essential “quiet luxury” uniform<\/a> altogether.<\/p>\n

Stepping out in New York for an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/em>, Cox\u2019s ensemble looked like he stepped off of the Yellowstone ranch in Montana rather than the corporate Waystar Royco skyscraper, proving that the coastal cowboy aesthetic<\/a> can work just as well in the city as it does in the country.<\/p>\n

For the occasion, the Scottish actor opted for a rust suede shacket with gold hard wear and matching calf-grazing suede boots from Savas.<\/p>\n

As veteran pop culture commentator, Evan Ross Katz<\/a>, shared on his Instagram Story: \u201cDare I declare these thee boots of the summer?\u201d<\/p>\n

Given we\u2019ve seen Cox saunter around New York in nothing by stuffy suits and a pulsating veined forehead \u2014 which will happen when you have three meddling children battling it out for your media conglomerate \u2014 it\u2019s genuinely refreshing to see Cox embrace frivolity.<\/p>\n

Even if it does mean his post-show glow and sartorial choices came at a very high cost.<\/p>\n

But given his Western fever ensemble, which we\u2019re sure Kendall Jenner<\/a> has saved for her next trip to Wyoming, perhaps these boots aren\u2019t ushering in an early summer, but rather sartorially commencing the start of Coachella<\/a> weekend one.<\/p>\n

We can just picture Cox getting on a private jet directly to the main stage in the Palm Springs desert for Frank Ocean\u2019s set.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s what Logan would want for him.<\/p>\n
