Yellowstone<\/em><\/a> fans are in for a sartorial treat. For those who have followed the dramatic Paramount+<\/a> Western series\u2019 prequels, like 1883<\/em><\/a> and 1923<\/em><\/a>, period piece costumes from the franchise are making their way to New York City.<\/p>\n

The Paley Center for Media<\/a> is known for celebrating some of the most beloved and iconic television programs and now, it opened an immersive costume exhibition showcasing ensembles from 1923<\/em>, starring Helen Mirren<\/a>, Harrison Ford<\/a>, Brandon Sklenar, Julia Schleapher and Michelle Randolph<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Displaying the craftsmanship and artistry of Emmy Award<\/a>-winning costume designer<\/a> Janie Bryant, the costume retrospective entitled, The “1923” Exhibit: Costume Design Across Three Continents<\/em>, will transport you back to the early 1900s and will be on display until May 28.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the historical accuracy and rich details, 1923<\/em>\u2019s original costumes illustrate the Dutton family\u2019s origin story, through travels to the African Savannas, the shores of Italy and the ranches of Montana. Over 1,000 costumes are included in the curated array.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to design this epic show and I’m honored that The Paley Museum invited me to display my art for the fans to see up close,\u201d Bryant said in an official statement. \u201cThe characters and story created by Taylor Sheridan, the talent of this amazing cast, and the breathtaking beauty of the locations \u2014 from Montana to South Africa \u2014 have all been so inspirational. It has truly been an exhilarating experience to be a part of the beauty, strength, and depth of this story.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bryant is known for transforming stars like Jon Hamm into Don Draper and Christina Hendricks into Joan Harris in the acclaimed AMC series Mad Men<\/a>. <\/em>She\u2019s responsible for Al Swearengen\u2019s pinstripe suit in HBO\u2019s\u00a0Deadwood, <\/em>Bill Skarsg\u00e5rd<\/a>\u2019s terrifying costume as Pennywise the Clown<\/a> in\u00a0the 2017 remake of It <\/em>and\u00a0Elsa Dutton\u2019s blue traveling dress in\u00a01883.<\/em><\/p>\n

Among the costumes, the exhibition will include props from the show, music and narration from the series and screenings of 1923<\/em> will play in the Bennack Theater in the building. Western-themed arts and crafts will be available for children and families to enjoy, as well as a souvenir photo opt, featuring a backdrop of the Dutton family ranch and props to hold.<\/p>\n

Bryant will participate in a panel discussion moderated by television personality Carson Kressley on April 29 at 3:30 p.m. to chat about the creative process that goes into each costume.<\/p>\n
