King Charles III\u2019s coronation<\/a> is fast approaching, but despite the historical event taking place in London in less than a month, apparently, Prince Harry<\/a> and Meghan Markle<\/a> still haven\u2019t confirmed their attendance<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to sources close to the royal family, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex missed the April 3rd deadline to RSVP with<\/span> The Mirror<\/span><\/i><\/a> reporting the Sussexes “have not responded to an official invitation by the king.” This, the outlet’s source alleged, is due to their asks not being met. “Rumors of their demands to be included on the balcony are said to be \u2018wide of the mark,\u2019 according to Palace insiders,” they noted.<\/span><\/p>\n

Marie Claire<\/span><\/i><\/a> added that apparently Harry and Meghan had asked for a balcony appearance \u2014 which was declined: it was later confirmed the balcony is going to be reserved for working members of the royal family only \u2014 and the inclusion of their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet<\/a>, in order to guarantee their support in-person at the coronation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Mirror<\/em> added the couple had requested that there be some sort of celebration for Archie’s birthday on May 6<\/a> in the UK.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Not much else has been revealed recently in terms of how the royals and the Sussexes are getting along, other than excerpts from a new royal book, Our King<\/em> by royal correspondent Robert Jobson. In an excerpt released via\u00a0The Daily Mail<\/em><\/a>, Jobson alleges the photo-op between Prince Harry, Prince William, Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton<\/a> following the Queen’s death in September was nothing but an “illusion” of unity and that the Princess of Wales, in particular, found it uncomfortable.<\/p>\n

Jobson claimed Middleton found the “ill feeling” between the two couples difficult, describing the public facade as “one of the hardest things” she’s ever had to do.<\/p>\n
