Why are we all so obsessed with Dua Lipa<\/a>? Well, that’s actually a pretty easy question to answer. The Albanian music artist first captured us with her endless stream of dance floor hits, then with her effortless sense of style<\/a>. She’s also about to star in the Barbie<\/em> movie<\/a>, no doubt continuing an acting career. Naturally, all of this 10\/10 behavior had us fascinated by Dua Lipa’s dating history.<\/p>\n While you might be across the singer’s more famous past relationships (ahem, the Anwar Hadid years), you may not know about some of the seriously juicy rumored flings. Many of her relationships (and maybe situationships) have inspired some of her stand-out tracks \u2014 see if you can guess who might be the topic of which hit song, as we take a look back at Dua Lipa’s dating history below.<\/p>\n Dua Lipa’s first serious public relationship was with British model and chef Isaac Carew \u2014 but it wasn’t smooth sailing. The couple were on\/off for years, dating until 2017 before breaking up, then reuniting again in 2018.<\/p>\n It seemed like things were pretty serious \u2014 Lipa even brought Carew as her date to the 2019 Met Gala. However, their relationship broke down shortly after the event and they split up for good in late 2019.<\/p>\n During her off-period with Isaac Carew, Dua Lipa dated Paul Klein, one half of pop band LANY. They were together for around five months in total, but while their relationship was relatively brief, the feelings were pretty intense \u2014 at least on Klein’s side. He told Harper\u2019s Bazaar<\/em><\/a> that their breakup was one of the hardest experiences he had been through to date.<\/p>\n \u201cI never felt a pain like that,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019m not trying to be dramatic here. I think that was the first time I\u2019ve ever been in love, and I never felt anything like that in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n Easily Dua Lipa’s most famous public relationship was with Anward Hadid, little brother of Gigi and Bella Hadid. According to Lipa, the couple initially met at a casual event and she took the initiative, sliding into Hadid’s DMs with great success.<\/p>\n Their relationship was smooth sailing for two years \u2014 Lipa told Rolling Stone<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>in early 2021 “I’m very comfortable in the relationship, more so than any others,” adding that writing her album Future Nostalgia<\/em> was about figuring out how to sing about love without it seeming “cheesy.” “When I was creating the first album, a lot of what was going on in my life was about heartbreak. This time around, I was feeling so happy and things were going so well,” she told the publication.<\/p>\n Sadly, once COVID-19 lockdowns were over, Dua Lipa had to return to London to create new music, while Anwar Hadid headed to New York for modeling. The distance reportedly led to a strain on their relationship<\/a>, and the couple broke up in December 2021.<\/p>\n Around six months after splitting from Hadid, Dua Lipa was spotted spending time with actor Ar\u00f3n Piper \u2014 star of popular series Elite<\/em>.
