Hailey Bieber<\/a> and Dua Lipa<\/a> (and the Barbie<\/em> movie<\/a>) are singlehandedly signaling the beginning of a new trend: Mermaid core.<\/p>\n

One day after the British singer revealed her acting debut in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming Barbie<\/em> adaptation would have her starring as a Barbie mermaid<\/a>, compete with long blue hair and the caption “This Barbie is a mermaid,” Bieber has jumped on Instagram to confirm this Barbie, too, is a mermaid.<\/p>\n

As part of promoting a new Rhode release<\/a> \u2014 passionfruit jelly-flavored lip balm \u2014 Bieber uploaded a series of photos of herself bronzed and glowing on the beach, one of which half her body is covered in a sandmade mermaid tail, complete with scales.<\/p>\n
