But in posters released today, a long-standing rumor was confirmed, one that only heightens the levels of excitement (and, thankfully, camp): there will be \u2013 at least \u2013 nine Barbies other than Robbie in the film, made up of a slew of Hollywood A-listers, including <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/dua-lipa-pink-hair\/\">Dua Lipa<\/a>, who will make her acting debut as a Barbie mermaid, Emma Mackey from <em>Sex Education<\/em> (<a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/emma-mackey-joins-margot-robbie-barbie-film\/\">Robbie\u2019s industry doppelganger<\/a>) as a Barbie who has a Nobel prize in physics, Issa Rae as President (perfect) and <em>Bridgerton<\/em>\u2019s Nicola Coughlan as a diplomat.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignfull-width wp-image-230997 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Fs3wHN8akAAJF08.jpeg\" alt=\"barbie movie margot robbie poster\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1280\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Meanwhile, Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Ncuti Gatwa and Scott Evans are playing variations on Ken, alongside Gosling. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In each of the just released posters showing the different characters in the film, the Barbies have their own professions (as noted above), whereas the Kens? They\u2019re simply Kens.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To top it off, we also get Helen Mirren as the narrator, Will Ferrell as a Mattel CEO (whose poster says &#8220;Please call me mother&#8221;), Michael Cera as Allan, as well as America Ferrera and Ariana Greenblatt as humans.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In another surprise, the second trailer dropped today too.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"BARBIE Trailer 2 (2023) Ryan Gosling, Margot Robbie\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/xLV6iiUQ04I?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The clip shows Robbie living it up in her Barbie World, saying hi to her friends, the other Barbies and the Kens, driving in her convertible and walking along the beach. There&#8217;s a hilarious bit with Gosling when he asks to &#8220;stay over&#8221; and another funny moment when the Kens almost get into a fight. It&#8217;s cheeky and sets the tone for a hilarious movie to come.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Before this big day of news, the plot of the movie has been kept tightly under wraps, aside from some very iconic paparazzi photos of Robbie and Gosling rollerblading in neon Barbie costumes, which Robbie says \u201cmortified\u201d the duo. Gerwig also said the project <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/greta-gerwig-barbie-movie-career-ender\/\">could be a potential &#8220;career-ruiner&#8221;<\/a> and Robbie <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/greta-gerwig-barbie-movie-career-ender\/\">teased that things won&#8217;t be as you&#8217;d expect<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI can\u2019t tell you how mortified we were, by the way,\u201d Robbie <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2022\/film\/news\/margot-robbie-barbie-set-photos-leak-humiliating-1235377925\/\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">told Jimmy Fallon<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> of the viral images from the set on Venice Beach. \u201cWe look like we\u2019re like laughing and having fun, but we\u2019re dying on the inside. Dying. I was like, this is the most humiliating moment of my life.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cI knew that we had some exteriors to shoot in L.A. I knew once you were doing exteriors, you\u2019re gonna get papped,\u201d she continued. \u201cThere\u2019s probably going to be a little crowd of people who are going to take notice because, you know, we stand out a little bit in those outfits. So I knew there was going to be a little bit of attention, and probably some photos would get out there, but not like it did.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>While we await the July 21st release date, see the
