The extravagant celebrity proposal is something of a lost art. We haven’t had anything verging on the Kimye proposal of 2013 (recap: Kanye rented out an entire baseball stadium and proposed with a 13-carat diamond in front of a large camera crew and a giant billboard reading ‘PLEEEASE MARY MEEE!!!’) in years. So it was a comforting throwback to the days of yore to read about Victoria’s Secret Angel Jasmine Tookes’ decidedly un-lowkey engagement, detailed painstakingly in an interview with Vogue<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n

Tookes’ long-term partner, Snapchat exec Juan David Borrero, got down on one knee in the middle of the desert in Utah this Monday, following a day-long extravaganza that featured private jets, fried chicken and, naturally, a drone.<\/p>\n
