The world knows Gwyneth Paltrow<\/a> for her Academy Award-winning<\/a> acting prowess, as the founder and CEO of wellness and lifestyle brand Goop<\/a>, and even as a devotee of rectal ozone therapy<\/a> and the bone broth (yep, you read that right). But recently, Paltrow garnered\u00a0 attention for a completely different reason. The star was in court<\/a>\u00a0for colliding with a man on the ski slopes at Deer Valley Resort in Utah in February 2016. <\/span>After retired optometrist Terry Sanderson brought litigation against Paltrow, she countersued for $1 and legal fees. Nothing short of a spectacle, the trial came to a close on Thursday when the jury unanimously sided with Paltrow and found her not liable for the accident.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Paltrow has been more pared-back than other celebrity courtroom looks. Martha Stewart<\/a> and Cardi B<\/a> carried Herm\u00e8s Birkin bags, while Winona Ryder<\/a> notably wore a Marc Jacobs dress<\/a> when she was on trial for allegedly shoplifting Marc Jacobs garments.
