HBO\u2019s smash-hit satirical comedic anthology series The White Lotus<\/em><\/a> will continue to take viewers around the world in season 3. It was officially announced that the next season will take place in Thailand.<\/p>\n

Per a new report from Variety<\/em><\/a>, the series is headed to Asia<\/a> and will follow a new brigade of wealthy and complex characters enjoying their stay at the namesake fictional luxury resort.\u00a0The White Lotus<\/em> was picked up for a third season in November 2022, following season 1, which took place in Hawaii, and season two, in Sicily, Italy.<\/p>\n

According to sources close to production, previous seasons of the series were shot at Four Seasons locations in both Hawaii and Italy. The Four Seasons has four properties in Thailand, including Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui and the Golden Triangle, so it’s possible it will film in another location by the luxury hotel brand. HBO has yet to confirm.<\/p>\n

Immediately following the season 2 finale in December, creator, writer and director, Mike White was interviewed for a\u00a0HBO Max post-episode featurette<\/a> and gave some ideas about season 3.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe first season, we highlighted money and then the second season is sex and I think the third season, it would be maybe a kind of satirical and funny look at death in Eastern religion and spirituality \u2014 it feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus<\/em>,\u201d said White.<\/p>\n

Fan have been mustering up a wish-list of coveted A-list actors to join The White Lotus<\/em> membership club for the show’s next installment, including both Pamela Anderson<\/a> and Jennifer Aniston<\/a> to portray the sister of the (spoiler!) late Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge).<\/p>\n

\u201cMike White! We did The Good Girl<\/em> together,\u201d said Aniston, referencing the 2002 film White starred in alongside Aniston and also wrote the script. \u201cI am obsessed with [The White Lotus<\/em>]. Obsessed with it,” she told E!<\/a>.<\/em> (Coolidge had a 2003 guest appearance on her beloved sitcom Friends,\u00a0<\/em>in which Aniston starred.)<\/p>\n

In February, Anderson<\/a> appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show<\/em><\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0host<\/a>\u00a0got right to the point asking, \u201cAre you going to do more movies?\u201d Barrymore paused before adding, \u201cIf we could do one together. We could both be in\u00a0White Lotus<\/a>.”\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The pair discussed Tara Watson\u2019s now-viral tweet<\/a> which has amassed thousands of retweets and likes, which said, \u201cThe only thing that will heal our broken culture is if Pamela Anderson is cast in the next season of\u00a0The White Lotus<\/em> as\u00a0Coolidge<\/a>\u2019s grieving sister.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat would be funny,\u201d Anderson replied before Barrymore added, \u201cI want you to be in\u00a0White Lotus<\/em>.\u201d The\u00a0Barb Wire<\/em>\u00a0actress suggested they could be sisters on the show, which caused Barrymore to dramatically pause. \u201cShould we call Mike White?\u201d she asked.
