Jennifer Lopez<\/a> and Ben Affleck<\/a> had a special (and stylish) date night at the Air <\/em><\/a>red carpet premiere at the Regency Village Theater in Los Angeles on Monday evening.<\/p>\n

Never one to shy away from a bold style statement, Lopez brightened up the carpet in an Antonio Grimaldi Couture gown with sheer crystal-embellishments along the mock neck and long sleeves with a floor-length, curve-hugging neon green skirt. The Shotgun Wedding<\/em><\/a> actress accessorized with a bedazzled clutch and SHIPHRA high jewelry, styled by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn.<\/p>\n

Affleck on the other hand, donned a dapper navy corduroy Thom Sweeney suit with a double-breasted jacket and a baby blue button-down dress shirt with a coordinating navy tie for the occasion.<\/p>\n

The couple shared laughs, loving gazes, whispers and kisses on the basketball court-esque wood paneled \u201ccarpet.\u201d At the event, Affleck told Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a>, that his wife is \u201cbrilliant and helps me in every conceivable way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Affleck both acts and directs his new feature film,\u00a0Air<\/em><\/a>, which is set in the 1980s and tells the story of the revolutionary partnership between then-rookie basketball player Michael Jordan<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Nike<\/a>, and the inception of the\u00a0Air Jordan line<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Affleck<\/a>\u00a0stars as Nike co-founder Phil Knight while his longtime friend and close collaborator\u00a0Matt Damon<\/a>\u00a0plays Sonny Vaccaro, the Nike employee who persuaded Jordan (portrayed by Damian Delano Young) to sign the contract that allowed for the creation of the iconic Air Jordan shoe line.<\/p>\n

The A-list ensemble is rounded out by\u00a0Viola Davis<\/a>, her real-life husband\u00a0Julius Tennon<\/a>, Jason Bateman, Chris Messina, Chris Tucker and\u00a0Marlon Wayans<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In the film, the staff at Nike headquarters meet to discuss growth, sales and brand recognition \u2014 specifically of the company\u2019s basketball division. Willing to bet his career on one man, who had never before set foot on an NBA court<\/a>, Vaccaro travels to North Carolina to meet with Jordan and his parents (Davis and Tennon). From there, the team sets out to create the greatest basketball sneaker ever made.<\/p>\n
