Gwyneth Paltrow<\/a> does a lot in the pursuit of wellness. Shock factor and bizarre antics have become synonymous with her Goop brand now. There was, of course, the jade egg<\/a>, which promised to strengthen your vaginal walls once inserted, the DIY coffee enemas<\/a>, and who could forget the eight-day goat milk cleanse. So when the 50-year-old was asked about the strangest treatment she had ever undertaken, we were naturally curious.<\/p>\n

Little did we know that we really didn’t<\/em> want to know.<\/p>\n

In an interview for The Art of Being Well with Dr Will Cole<\/em> podcast<\/a>, Paltrow<\/a> answered that she had been using “ozone therapy,” a process where gas is introduced into the body. Only, after a slight pause, the actress revealed that she had been taking the treatment “rectally.”<\/p>\n

If you haven\u2019t the slightest clue what that means, it essentially means that the gas is delivered into the colon via a catheter. And according to Paltrow, it\u2019s been “very helpful.”<\/p>\n

For what?<\/em> you ask. According to health experts, the gas can work wonders to support a healthy immune system, improve circulation by clearing the arteries and even relieve pain.<\/p>\n

When talking about it to Dr Cole, she admitted the procedure was \u201cpretty weird,” but it’s all part of a long list of weird when it comes to Paltrow’s lifestyle choices. Following up from the rectal ozone therapy chat, she also admitted to incorporating ketone drinks into her everyday routine, despite saying that they taste like “cherry gasoline.”<\/p>\n

“It helps with cognition and brain fog and energy. I have it with green tea in the afternoon. It tastes pretty bad.”<\/p>\n

But while it seems like just another episode of Rich People Trying To Live Forever<\/em>, Paltrow\u2019s “health tips” need to be taken with great caution. As listeners were quick to point out, the scarce daily diet she detailed piqued concern.<\/p>\n

She explains she eats dinner “early in the evening” before intermittent fasting until noon the next day.<\/p>\n

“I usually eat something [at] about 12,” she explained, adding that she’ll have just a coffee in the morning. “I really like soup for lunch. I have bone broth for lunch a lot of the days.”<\/p>\n

Paltrow then revealed she does “one hour of movement every day” before dry-brushing and getting in her infra-red sauna for 30 minutes before dinner \u2014 a paleo meal with “lots of vegetables.”<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s really important for me to support my detox,” she says.<\/p>\n

This isn’t the first time the Goop founder has received backlash for her “tips.” In 2021 she was called out for her dangerous tips around minimal sunscreen
