Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis<\/a>\u2019s former Georgetown property is on the market. The piece of Washington, D.C. history is available for a whopping $26.5 million, according to the Wall Street Journal<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Located at 3017 North Street Northwest in Washington, the sprawling estate featuring three homes is where the former first lady<\/a> stayed following President John F. Kennedy\u2019s assassination in 1963.<\/p>\n

Represented by Jonathan Taylor of Sotheby\u2019s International Reality<\/a>, the property is listed under the trust of entrepreneur David W. Hudgens, who combined the three homes into a 13-bedroom mansion before his death in November 2022 according to the publication, making the home 16,300-square-feet.<\/p>\n

Formerly owned by Kennedy Onassis<\/a> who purchased it in December 1963, the home quickly became a tourist attraction. The family to move out after approximately nine months to avoid the immense amount of attention.<\/p>\n

Mr. Hudgens bought each house individually \u2014 the first in 1997 for $1.2 million, the second in 2006 for $1.6 million and the final home, the one in which Kennedy Onassis lived, for $5.25 million in 2017. Remodeling and connecting the homes over the span of four years, Hudgens called upon the architectural prowess of Dale Overmyer, who was commissioned to take on the project.<\/p>\n

According to the outlet, though the homes have been connected since Kennedy Onassis\u2019 stay, each house maintains their own original, individual characteristics.<\/p>\n

Per Zillow<\/a>, the listing will be the most expensive on the market in Georgetown. According to the real estate company, the property not only served as a home to Kennedy Onassis, but to Georgetown mayor Thomas Beall, former Miss America Yolande Fox and Secretary of War Newton D. Baker throughout the years.<\/p>\n
