The 2023 Oscars red carpet<\/a> may bring the haute glamour, but those in the know will tell you that it’s the afterparty that really brings the fun \u2014 just look at Olivia Wilde<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In one of her most daring looks to date, the 39-year-old took “revenge dressing”<\/a> to a whole new level. For Vanity Fair<\/em>‘s blue carpet, Wilde<\/a> nailed the dress code in a straight-off-the-runway look from Gabriela Hearst<\/a>‘s Fall Winter 2023 collection<\/a>, which just showed in New York last month.<\/p>\n

A white one-shoulder gown with a draped effect, the floor-length silhouette features a sultry twist with a black peek-a-boo leather bra, leaving plenty of skin to see. Though she left her arms and hands bare, a diamond herringbone choker and matching earrings tied the look together. Elegant and edgy, Wilde strikes a fine balance and has to be one of the best dressed at the annual event<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As for the beauty notes, her signature balayage hair was kept out and tousled, and she complimented the leather detail with gunmetal smokey eyes and chiseled contouring<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The look comes after a series of head-turning appearances from the Don’t Worry Darling<\/em> director following her breakup with Harry Styles<\/a> after two years of dating. At the time, a source close to the former couple told People<\/em><\/a> that the decision was “amicable” and came down to conflicting schedules and priorities. “He\u2019s still touring and is now going abroad,” they said. “She is focusing on her kids and her work in L.A.”<\/p>\n
