Williams<\/a> of a proper inauguration at Givenchy. Well, just as his recent menswear collection surprised and delighted, the recent Fall\/Winter 2023 womenswear show triumphantly cemented his era at the luxury French house.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The first few looks cut a familiar shape with commanding separates. Cinched coats with <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/the-curious-timing-of-fashions-recurring-power-shoulders\/\">big shoulders<\/a>, sizeable box pleats at the back and buttoned pleats running along the front were a nod to <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/5-surprising-facts-hubert-de-givenchy\/\">Hubert de Givenchy<\/a>\u2019s taste for tailoring \u2014 looks 1-5 were indeed crafted in the couture atelier. From there came roomy leather <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/boxy-blazer-trend-kaia-gerber\/\">blazers<\/a>, trench coats, and layers upon layers of cashmere until all the shades of black and gray were broken up by a pale yellow mock-neck knit dress.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/street-style-paris-fashion-week\/\">Parisian chic<\/a> had a presence with undone pussybow blouses loosely tucked into wide-leg trousers and leather pencil skirts before a vibe shift at look 27 welcomes us into Williams\u2019 world. Playing on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grazia.co.in\/fashion\/avant-apocalypse-end-of-the-world-but-make-it-chic-9199.html\" target=\"_blank\">dystopian<\/a> themes, we see avant-garde layering; zip-hem mini skirts that sit below oversized sweaters, shredded tweed pants under \u2014 what appears to be \u2014 slashed-up sweatshirts, and thick shearling coats worth hibernating in. Of course, hardware is a staple with anything Williams creates, and his signature was executed with immaculate constraint.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As dresses take center stage, we\u2019re served up an array of <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/us\/articles\/sheer-madness-its-all-about-transparent-looks-right-now\/\">sheer garments<\/a>, notably in lilac, <a href=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/articles\/a-stylists-take-how-to-wear-green\/\">slime green<\/a>, and hot pink \u2014 each more red-carpet-worthy than the last. Prints played a small but emphatic role as two dresses boasted a cartoon-like fish print taken from sketches by Hubert himself. One green dress with a floral pattern inspired the daisy jewelry and bag detailings, while leather gloves and silver knuckle dusters brought balance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pieces in clothing and accessories are as interesting to take in as they are wearable, demonstrating Williams\u2019 undeniable streetwear prowess that is sure to see Givenchy take on new heights. As we see the collection as a whole, it\u2019s clear that the creative director has found a sweet spot, a way to satiate his appetite and knack for streetwear while doing the heritage of the house
