Thespian, acteur<\/em> and namesake star of current award season darling, T\u00e1r, <\/em>Cate Blanchett<\/a> has delivered drama with a capital D on the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild Awards<\/a> in Los Angeles after arriving in a black Armani Priv\u00e9 lace and sequin gown.<\/p>\n

Black sequins glittering along the dress and bodice are a stunning contrast to the delicate black lacework that creates the neckline and capped sleeves.<\/p>\n

But it’s the story behind the dress that is making fashionistas and commentators buzz even more. This stunner of a gown isn’t making its first appearance on the red carpet. Blanchett’s stylist, Elizabeth Stewart, shared on Instagram the evolution of the original Armani lace dress worn by Blanchett to the 2014 Golden Globes and again at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, became the base for this evening’s look.<\/p>\n
