She is all of us!<\/em> Jamie Lee Curtis<\/a> took home the 2023 SAG Award<\/a> for best supporting actress in Everything Everywhere All at Once <\/em>and gave a rousing acceptance speech that sent the room on their feet with praise.<\/p>\n

After planting a huge smooch on her friend and costar Michelle Yeoh,<\/a> Curtis took to the stage and after quieting the crowd, began by remembering her parents, acting greats Some Like It Hot<\/em> star Tony Curtis and Psycho<\/em> actress Janet Leigh.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m wearing the wedding ring that my father gave my mother. They hated each other by the way, at the end,\u201d said Curtis, drawing some laughs from the star-studded audience. \u201cBut my sister Kelly and I were born from love. My father was from Hungary and my mother was from Denmark, and they had nothing, and they became these monstrous stars in this industry that they loved so much. My parents were actors. And I married an actor [Christopher Guest]. I love actors. I love acting, I love the job we get to do. I love being a part of a crew, I love being a part of a cast, I love what we do with each other. It\u2019s such a beautiful job.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cAnd I know that so many people in our industry who are actors, don\u2019t get to do this job. You look at nights like this and think, \u2018Is that ever going to be possible for me?\u2019 And I know you look at me and think, \u2018Well, nepo baby. That\u2019s why she\u2019s there.\u2019 And I totally get it. But the truth of the matter is, I\u2019m 64 years old and this is just amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Freaky Friday<\/em><\/a> actress ended her speech with a rallying cry for Yeoh, who is won outstanding lead actress for Everything Everywhere All at Once<\/em>. \u201cYou say Michelle, I say \u2018Yeoh!’\u201d yelled Curtis. \u201cMichelle Yeoh, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you. Thank you for Deirdre. For all the Deidres and all the Evelyns in the world, we love you, we see you, we are you. We\u2019re all here together. God bless you all. What a f***ing dream.”<\/p>\n

Curtis was nominated alongside<\/a> her co-star Stephanie Hsu, The Banshees of Inisherin<\/em>\u2019s Kerry Condon, The Whale<\/em>\u2019s Hong Chao, and Black Panther: Wakanda
