Melania Trump’s time in the White House may be running out but the First Lady<\/a> seems to be determined to go out in style.<\/p>\n

On Monday, the 51-year-old celebrated the arrival of the annual White House Christmas tree. Arriving from West Virginia, the 18\u00bd-foot Fraser fir was transported down 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue’s northern driveway by two large Clydesdale horses. A military band was also on hand playing \u201cO Tannenbaum\u201d and \u201cHark the Herald Angels Sing\u201d<\/p>\n

“Today I welcomed the arrival of the beautiful @whitehouse Christmas Tree,” the FLOTUS wrote on Instagram. “We are excited to begin decorating the People\u2019s House for the holiday season! #WHChristmas.<\/p>\n

Although she ignored reporters’ questions regarding her husband, the former brunette did wish those in attendance a \u201cMerry Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n

For the festive occasion, President Trump’s traditionally stone-faced<\/a> wife was all smiles wearing a Balenciaga Spring 2018 black and white houndstooth, double breasted coat featuring a chic scarf detailing and three-quarter-length sleeves. Knee-high black boots and black leather gloves completed the look. She also debuted new light blonde highlights with a fresh blowout with long layers following her recovery last month from COVID-19. The shade is similar to the signature blonde her stepdaughter Ivanka regularly. sports.<\/p>\n

Perhaps the new ‘do is giving Trump a new lease on the holidays. The FLOTUS recently found herself in hot water when a secretly-recorded phone call with former best friend Stephanie Winston Wolkoff revealed her disdain for presiding over White House<\/a> holiday traditions.<\/p>\n

“‘I’m working like a – my a** off – at Christmas stuff that you know, who gives a f*** about Christmas stuff and decoration? But I need to do it, right?” Trump says on the taped call after she visited an immigration detention center in Texas, back in June 2018. “OK, and then I do it. And I say that I’m working on Christmas planning for the Christmas. And they said, Oh, what about the children that they were separated?’ Give me a f***ing break.”<\/p>\n

So has the Washington D.C. Grinch had a change of heart? Maybe it’s true that blondes do have more fun, even in the White House.<\/p>\n
