Congratulations are in order for Vanessa Hudgens<\/a> and Cole Tucker! According to multiple news outlets, the actress is engaged to the MLB player. The star has yet to confirm the news herself, but\u00a0TMZ<\/a> first reported that the pair got engaged at the end of 2022.<\/p>\n

The couple often post cute Instagrams with one another, and just last week, Hudgens shared a photo<\/a> smiling up at Tucker, 26, with the caption, “I\u2019ll stop the world and melt with you \u2764\ufe0f\ud83e\udd70 @cotuck<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

The two have been linked since late 2020 after they met in a very “meet-cute” kind of way amid the COVID-19 pandemic, in a group Zoom meditation call. Hudgens<\/a>, 34, opened up about how it all went down during an interview on\u00a0The Drew Barrymore Show<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

“I still cannot get over the fact that it happened, because I remember in quarantine I was like, ‘Cool, so I’m single now and I can’t meet anybody.'” Hudgens got on a dating app, which she “hated” and she “kind of just gave up [on dating] for a minute.”<\/p>\n

Thankfully, a friend invited her to a weekly Zoom meditation group, which included the Colorado Rockies shortstop. “I get on the Zoom, and I’m like, ‘Who is that?’ I found him, and we started talking.”<\/p>\n

She told Barrymore that she was the one to make the first move. “I’m such a go-getter, if I want something or someone, I’m going after them. I fully just slid into his DMs and was like, ‘Hey, it was nice to meet you.’ So I think there is no shame in making the first move.”<\/p>\n

Hudgens previously dated ELVIS<\/em><\/a> star Austin Butler<\/a> for over eight years before splitting in January 2020. Their relationship has made headlines recently after Butler credited his ex-girlfriend for encouraging him to take his Golden Globe-winning role<\/a> as the King of rock ‘n’ roll.<\/p>\n

“We’d been together for so long and she had this sort of clairvoyant moment and so I really, I owe her a lot for believing in me,” he said of Hudgens in an interview with the Los Angeles Times<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Since their split, Butler has been dating model Kaia Gerber<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In December, Hudgens reflected on the past year with a carousel post on Instagram<\/a> saying she “couldn\u2019t be more grateful for the past year.” She reflected on professional accomplishments and ended by writing she “feel[s] the most loved. Cheers to 22\u2019 and big things for 23\u2019 \ud83e\udd42”<\/p>\n
