If rumours are to be believed, a long-awaited Spice Girls<\/a> reunion \u2013 with every single original band member involved \u2014 yes, including the illusive Victoria Beckham<\/a> (!) \u2014 may finally be happening this year.<\/span><\/p>\n

The beloved \u201890s girl group, who haven\u2019t performed together with all five members since the closing ceremony at the London 2012 Summer Olympic Games, are reported to be reuniting later this year to take the stage as part of a huge royal concert for King Charles III’s three-day coronation<\/a> celebration starting May 6 in London.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the <\/span>Daily Mail<\/span><\/i><\/a>,<\/span><\/i> royal organizers are \u201csuper keen\u201d to make the Spice Girls part of the event as the \u201cstar signing\u201d for the concert. <\/span><\/p>\n

The women, Mel B, Mel C, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Beckham, have met King Charles III<\/a> several times throughout their career, including the infamous encounter in 1997 when Ginger and Scary Spice broke royal protocol and planted a kiss on his cheek, as well as the time Prince Harry mentions in his recent memoir, <\/a><\/span>Spare<\/span><\/i>, when the Duke of Sussex noted his father was singing along to their songs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Another source spoke to<\/span> The Sun<\/span><\/i><\/a>, saying the women, who reunited for a tour without Beckham, a.k.a. Posh Spice, in 2019 were \u201cseriously pondering a return to the stage as a five-piece for such a historical event.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cCertainly, the reality is that the Coronation is as special as The Olympics \u2014 a one-off celebration and unique performance,\u201d they added. \u201cThere is a general sense that a reunion could happen for something this significant. Mel B and Mel C are the ring leaders in the group, trying to make it happen.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

This past summer, Mel C opened up to the <\/span>Express<\/span><\/i><\/a>, sharing that the group was not happy about missing the late<\/a> Queen’s Platinum Jubilee concert<\/a> in June, but explained it would have been \u201cimpossible\u201d to pull together. \u201cYou know what, we would have loved to be there but it was just one of those situations where it was impossible,\u201d Mel shared. \u201cWith us girls, there is so much that we would like to do but there are four, five, people involved with families and other commitments and responsibilities. So, I think that was something that we had to
