Red is most definitely Pamela Anderson<\/a>\u2019s color. The Hollywood icon sizzled on the red carpet on Monday evening for the Los Angeles premiere of her new Netflix tell-all documentary Pamela, a love story<\/em><\/a> in a look inspired by her Baywatch<\/em> heyday.<\/p>\n

The blonde bombshell<\/a> wore a red hot floor-length gown with a scoop neckline and beaded detailing by designer Naeem Khan. The gown mirrored Anderson\u2019s bright red lifeguard swimsuit she famously wore on the prime-time soap opera Baywatch<\/em> that shot her to superstardom.<\/p>\n

Evoking the essence of Old Hollywood glamour, Anderson adorned Cicada diamond drop earrings and matching red satin strappy sandals. The star threw her blonde tresses up into a pile of curls with her updo \u2014 another one of her trademark looks from the 1990s.<\/p>\n

Known for her bouncy blonde hair, plump lined lips, uber-thin eyebrows, and hyper-defined curves, Anderson’s style permeated the zeitgeist of the 1990s and early 2000s. So did her costume on-set, when she wore the show’s iconic red maillot while running slow-motion through the beach with the wind in her hair. The Baywatch<\/em> babe was swiftly hailed as one of the sex symbols of the decade.<\/p>\n

In the last year, Anderson\u2019s \u201890s style has seen a strong resurgence<\/a>, thanks in part to the Hulu mini-series Pam & Tommy<\/em><\/a>. The hashtag #PamCore has been spiking on TikTok<\/a>, as viewers recreate her Y2K outfits and beauty signatures.<\/p>\n

Anderson attended the red carpet affair alongside her sons, Brandon Thomas, 26, (who helped to produce the project) and Dylan Jagger, 25, whom she shares with ex-husband, M\u00f6tley Cr\u00fce drummer Tommy Lee. Pamela, a love story<\/em><\/a> director Ryan White told Vanity Fair<\/em><\/a> that Anderson\u2019s sons encouraged their mother to \u201ctell her story on her own terms.\u201d He said, \u201cThey adore their mother and really hate seeing her story being told by other people in a way that they don\u2019t feel is authentic to who she is. Pamela, by nature, is an incredibly open and honest person. That\u2019s perhaps why Pamela\u2019s gotten burned a lot in her life, but I also think it\u2019s what\u2019s so lovable and infectious about her.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actress, who recently starred on Broadway<\/a>, told the publication<\/a>, \u201cBrandon can talk me into anything with his sincere heart and a fierceness that only a son could have. He wanted to tell my story, authentically and without distortion.\u201d<\/p>\n

The film includes exclusive archival interviews, never-before-seen footage and personal journal entries from Anderson, as she reclaims the narrative.<\/p>\n

Pamela, a love story<\/em><\/a>\u00a0will be released on the same day as her\u00a0new book,\u00a0Love, Pamela<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0\u201cIt feels like some kind of miracle \u2014 to be retracing the painful steps of my youth,\u201d Anderson shared on\u00a0Instagram<\/a>. \u201cI repainted scenes in detail, if it were my childhood or at the Playboy mansion.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJust one girl\u2019s messy life,\u201d she continued. \u201cA celebration of imperfections. The book is an unpolished attempt. I had no co-writer. My life \u2014 as a mother, as an activist, and as an actress. I am so proud of this book. XO Pamela.\u201d<\/p>\n
