After three years without a live runway show, Mugler <\/a>presented its Fall\/Winter 2022 collection at La Villette in Paris with a live audience. Creative director Casey Cadwallader enlisted a star-studded list of models to usher his sultry and futuristic designs down the catwalk, including model Eva Herzigova and comedian Ziwe Fumudoh.<\/p>\n

Known professionally as simply Ziwe, the late night talk show host walked among legendary supermodels like Herzigova and Debra Shaw (two favorites of the late Thierry Mugler<\/a>), as well as Amber Valletta, Shalom Harlow and Mariacarla Boscono. There was also Irina Shayk, Paloma Elsesser, Adut Akech and more. Pose<\/em> actress Dominique Jackson continued her relationship with the brand with a stroll down the catwalk. Venezuelan electronic musician Arc also made an appearance.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to dress the people who inspire me,\u201d Cadwallader said<\/a>\u00a0<\/a>in 2018. \u201cAnd for them to be equally inspired by the brand.\u201d By picking a list of A-list pop culture icons to walk in the show, Cadwallader is continuing the tradition of Mugler\u2019s high octane and theatrical runway presentations.<\/p>\n

As for the fashion, there was lots of leather, lace, risqu\u00e9 cutouts, second-skin bodysuits and voluminous, cascading ruffled trains. The Fall\/Winter 2022 assortment included Matrix<\/em>-esque silhouettes, chaps, slinky slip dresses, cinched corsets and metallic busts. The creative director also took the opportunity to introduce the first handbag he designed for the fashion house \u2014 the ever-so sleek Spiral Curve 01<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI also want to go back to the founder spirit of Mugler,\u201d said Cadwallader. \u201cMonsieur Mugler was a true risk taker and a visionary.\u201d<\/p>\n

The house’s founding father was known for his opulent and extravagant runway shows that have gone down in fashion history as some of the most iconic of their time.<\/p>\n

Jerry Hall, Pat Cleveland, Diana and Tracee Ellis Ross, Nadja Auermann and Connie Fleming, brought a new level of pageantry to the presentations, and the latest brigade of style mavens evoked their
