Pamela Anderson<\/a> is \u201cready to tell her story\u201d in her\u00a0new Netflix documentary\u00a0Pamela, a love story<\/em>, but she isn\u2019t quite ready to rewatch the full experience.<\/p>\n

The Baywatch actress told Vanity Fair<\/em><\/a> that she doesn’t plan on watching the show. \u201cThe documentary I haven\u2019t seen,\u201d said Anderson. \u201cI have no intention of seeing. I gave full access to my archives and diaries, and I hope that through full transparency, it makes sense to somebody.\u201d<\/p>\n

The doc, directed by Ryan White (known for The Keepers<\/em>,\u00a0Good Night Oppy<\/em>, and\u00a0The Case Against 8<\/em>), is set to land on the streamer on Jan. 31 and will include exclusive archival interviews and never-before-seen footage, as well as personal journal entries from Anderson.<\/p>\n

White told the publication that Anderson\u2019s sons, Brandon, 26 (who is helping to produce the project) and Dylan, 24, with whom she shares with her ex-husband, M\u00f6tley Cr\u00fce drummer Tommy Lee, encouraged their mother \u201cto tell her story on her own terms. They adore their mother and really hate seeing her story being told by other people in a way that they don\u2019t feel is authentic to who she is. Pamela, by nature, is an incredibly open and honest person. That\u2019s perhaps why Pamela\u2019s gotten burned a lot in her life, but I also think it\u2019s what\u2019s so lovable and infectious about her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pamela, a love story<\/em>\u00a0will be released on the same day as her\u00a0new book,\u00a0Love, Pamela<\/em><\/a>. Available for\u00a0pre-order now<\/a>, the memoir will be published by HarperCollins and Dey Street Books. \u201cIt feels like some kind of miracle \u2014 to be retracing the painful steps of my youth,\u201d Anderson shared on Instagram<\/a>. \u201cI repainted scenes in detail, if it were my childhood or at the Playboy mansion.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJust one girl\u2019s messy life,\u201d she continued. \u201cA celebration of imperfections. The book is an unpolished attempt. I had no co-writer. My life \u2014 as a mother, as an activist, and as an actress. I am so proud of this book. XO Pamela.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pamela, a love story <\/em>will be available to stream on Netflix on Jan.
