John Mayer<\/a> has long been a playboy of Hollywood but according to the artist in a new interview, that’s all changing. On the latest episode of the\u00a0Call Her Daddy<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>podcast, Mayer revealed that he doesn’t really “date” anymore and one day hopes to get married.<\/p>\n

When host Alex Cooper asked if he was afraid of commitment, he replied, “Nope. Of course I want to get married.” He continued, envisioning that he can’t wait to fight about mundane things like the dry-cleaning with his future wife. “Nothing’s hotter to be than conflict resolution,” he added. “I am horny for conflict resolution.”<\/p>\n

The “Your Body Is a Wonderland” star, who described himself as “currently single,” explained that it may be a while until he’s married since he isn’t dating often.<\/p>\n

“Dating is no longer a codified activity for me,” John said. “I don’t really date. I don’t think that I have to, to be quite honest. I quit drinking like six years ago, so I don’t have the liquid courage. I just have dry courage.”<\/p>\n

Mayer has been linked to the likes of Taylor Swift (problematically)<\/a>, Katy Perry and Jennifer Aniston in the past. Discussing how fame affected his romantic life he said, “I was made to believe, growing up, that if somebody liked me, it was pretty much an accident and should be capitalized on. So, I felt very deeply when somebody liked me.”<\/p>\n

Nowadays Mayer is looking for something more longterm. “Every relationship I\u2019ve ever been in was devoted to the idea that this could go the distance,” he continued. “My entire life, today included, if you told me that I could have a great two months with someone but it would end on the first day of the third month, I would not be interested. I\u2019ve always sought potential for a long-term relationship.”<\/p>\n
