In the wake of the whirlwind White Lotus<\/em><\/a> season 2 finale, viewers are still celebrating the triumph of Mia<\/a> and Lucia, dissecting Portia’s questionable attire, mourning that<\/em> shocking death<\/a>, and trying to wrap their heads around the dysfunctional foursome between married couples Harper and Ethan, and Cameron and Daphne.<\/p>\n

Following the finale, actress\u00a0Meghann Fahy<\/a>\u00a0(who played Daphne) weighed in on what she thinks happened between her character<\/a> and Ethan (Will Sharpe) when they ventured to a secluded beach together. \u201cI definitely think something happened,\u201d she told Variety<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI don\u2019t know what exactly happened, but I do know that it was something. Honestly, in that moment, I think Daphne just saw this broken man and wanted to do something to make him feel more empowered in her own strange way.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Ethan reveals his theory to Daphne that Harper and Cameron may have had sex during their holiday star at The White Lotus<\/em>, Daphne looks wounded, if only for a split second \u2014 before switching to a calm demeanor. \u201cI mean, we never really know what goes on in people\u2019s minds and what they do, right?\u201d she tells Ethan. \u201cThere\u2019s still this part that\u2019s a mystery. You don\u2019t have to know everything to love someone.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a mystery to myself, honestly, I surprise myself all the time. I think you just\u2026 do whatever you have to do not to feel like a victim of life,\u201d she says before inviting Ethan to walk across Isola Bella — a small, secluded island off the coast. Exchanging heavy looks and loaded glances across their stroll, we\u2019re left wondering if Ethan and Daphne have sex on their trip, although it\u2019s certainly implied.<\/p>\n

Fahy told the outlet, \u201cI really don\u2019t think that she led him there to get back at Cameron or Harper. Someone said something really interesting the other day, which was like, do you think that part of Daphne\u2019s sadness comes from her betrayal from Harper? I was like totally.<\/em> I think she\u2019s been through this with Cameron who knows how many times, but I think she really thought that Harper was maybe her friend or wanted her to be.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Bold Type<\/em><\/a> alum added, \u201cShe has that vulnerable moment in Episode 3 where they\u2019re in Noto, and she talks about how she has a hard time keeping female friends and stuff. So, I do think that was part of the experience of it but yeah, I don\u2019t know that I can say exactly what happened, but I think definitely something sexual for
