Last week, news broke that musician Harry Styles<\/a> and actress-and-director Olivia Wilde<\/a> called it quits<\/a> on their almost two-year relationship. Days later, new reports came out that the Don\u2019t Worry Darling<\/em><\/a> filmmaker seems to be having a \u201cdifficult\u201d time in the wake of the breakup.<\/p>\n

A source told People<\/em><\/a>, \u201cThe break has been difficult for Olivia. They have had some issues, but Olivia thought they were gonna work through it all. She is disappointed. It’s just a tricky situation, though.”<\/p>\n

While the former couple have yet to make a public statement, sources close to both parties have confirmed to the publication that the \u201cAs It Was\u201d singer, 28, and the Book Smart<\/em> director, 38, are \u201ctaking a break,\u201d due to \u201cdifferent priorities that are keeping them apart,\u201d said a friend of the pair.<\/p>\n

While Styles is continuing his Love On Tour<\/em> concerts and traveling abroad, Wilde is tending to her two children and her work in L.A. Just last week, Wilde and her children \u2013 daughter Daisy, 6, and son Otis, 8 whom she co-parents with ex Jason Sudeikis<\/a> \u2013 were seen dancing at Styles\u2019 Nov. 15 concert in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Although the split has been said to be \u201cvery amicable,\u201d the decision comes after the two endured an unprecedented amount of drama surrounding the release of their film Don\u2019t Worry Darling<\/em><\/a>. \u201cThe public pressure on them has been difficult,\u201d said the People<\/em> source. \u201cThey\u2019ve had ups and downs throughout the relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wilde and Styles sparked romance rumors shortly after filming began, leading onlookers to suspect that her relationships with Styles overlapped the end of her time with Sudeikis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe complete horses**t idea that I left Jason for Harry is completely inaccurate,\u201d Wilde told Vanity Fair<\/em><\/a>. \u201cOur relationship was over long before I met Harry. Like any relationship that ends, it doesn\u2019t end overnight. Unfortunately, Jason and I had a very bumpy road, and we officially dissolved the relationship towards the beginning of the pandemic. We were raising two kids during lockdown, so we co-parented through that time. Once it became clear that cohabitating was no longer beneficial for the children, it became the responsible thing to not,<\/em>\u00a0because we could be better parents as friends who live in different
