Lenny Kravitz<\/a>\u2019s fashion icon status is getting the recognition it deserves. On Nov. 7, the Council of Fashion Designers of America will honor the Let Love Rule<\/em> artist with the esteemed Fashion Icon Award at the 2022 ceremony. He’s joining a long line of style stars including past winners, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Pharrell Williams and more.<\/p>\n

Since he burst onto the music scene in 1989, the Grammy winner has garnered a reputation for his funky, eclectic style identity. With his unbuttoned, plunging tops, skin-tight bell-bottom trousers, metallic jumpsuits, bug-eyed sunglasses, and fringe and feathers galore, Kravitz incorporated glam rock aesthetics with a bohemian flair. The Saint Laurent ambassador was even cast as the fashion designer Cinna in the Hunger Games<\/em> franchise.<\/p>\n

Kravitz\u2019s androgynous, stage-worthy ensembles have placed him among the highest echelons of rock star style, among the likes of David Bowie, Prince, Jimi Hendrix and Mick Jagger.<\/p>\n
