Selena Gomez<\/a> celebrated the world premiere of her new Apple TV+ documentary Selena Gomez: My Mind And Me <\/em><\/a>on Wednesday evening, shining like the star she is in a regal Rodarte number.<\/p>\n

She arrived at the 2022 AFI Fest at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood in a purple satin asymmetrical Rodarte<\/a> dress. It\u00a0featured an elegant bow tied and draped over one shoulder, and a spaghetti strap over the other. Gomez’s longtime stylist Kate Young<\/a>, completed the look with a pair of PVC crystalized Hollywood mules from Paris Texas<\/a>, a shimmering embellished clutch and colorful David Webb jewelry.<\/p>\n

The Rare Beauty<\/a> founder slicked back her brunette strands into a tight bun with a sweeping side part, and sported a dramatic smokey eye with a soft, glossed lip.<\/p>\n

The documentary shows her battles with lupus and bipolar disorder, and how she deals with it all under a spotlight. Gomez was originally hesitant to sign off on Selena Gomez: My Mind And Me. <\/em>\u201cI\u2019m just so nervous,\u201d the star told Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>. \u201cBecause I have the platform I have, it\u2019s kind of like I\u2019m sacrificing myself a little bit for a greater purpose. I don\u2019t want that to sound dramatic, but I almost wasn\u2019t going to put this out. God\u2019s honest truth, a few weeks ago, I wasn\u2019t sure I could do it.”<\/p>\n

She also told the outlet, \u201cIt makes me proud I\u2019m\u00a0<\/span><\/span>actually talking<\/span>\u00a0about things that matter, not sitting here just talking about my brand and \u2018I look great, and I have this and this.\u2019 There\u2019s already enough of that.\u201d<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
